Staff Recommendations: June 24th, 2012
The other night I saw a blind guy get helped up by a crowd to crowd-surf and then helped back down. He was going hard in the pit the whole time. It was a beautiful thing to witness. My jazz history professor in college once told me to think of music without the visuals. Keep your eyes closed most of the week while listening - well, unless you're driving.

Great book. Do read if you have not. |
![]() Oshin by DIIV is the only album you need to listen to all summer, to be honest Elvis Depressedly released Mickey's Dead for free on Bandcamp on Tuesday and it's really good and you need it. - http://elvisdepressedly.bandcamp.com/album/mickeys-dead Confess by Twin Shadow isn't as good as Forget, but it has its moments. Stagnant Pools' Temporary Room is what it would sound like if The Strokes were a shoegaze band The Idler Wheel... hasn't gotten old yet either. |
