Travis Barker Considering Australian Trip with Blink After All

We recently told you that Blink 182 might be touring in Australia in February with a fill in drummer. Now, Travis Barker says he is considering getting knocked out to take the flight.
QuoteIím contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia. I want to overcome that eventually. When I do, I think itís going to be Qantas. They never had a crash, never had a fatality ó knock on wood. Itís something I want to overcome for me ó and my kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it.

Pretty brave that he's considering it! Though he is young, he'd have to get over his fear of flying at some point.

And I agree that Qantas is a great airline. Any international airline > US domenstic ones,

good luck, travis!

Damn that's cool of him.

That kind of crash would scare the shit out of anyone, good luck to him getting through it.

I never read the full post about this before, so I didn't realize that this was the reason he wasn't going to go. That's gotta be really scary but good for him

Thats rad, I hate to break it to the dude but unless you just wanna play the states and Europe over and over again, flying becomes a requirement at some point.

not a blink182 fan at all, but i cannot imagine them playing with anyone but travis, it would just be awkward. hes part of the show. this is a big step for him. good stuff.

Respect to him for this, I don't really care for Travis' personality most of the time, but this is cool.

_veges_ 07/13/12 08:33 AM

Good for him, I can't imagine how hard that would be

He means its more feasible to take a boat to Europe. Definitely too far to do that for Australia, that's what he's been doing for their European shows thus far
