Interested to hear what direction he went with this one. I liked Beacons, but I think I listened to the last album once and then deleted it.

Cloudkicker is great.

I envy you for listening to it once. I didn't even get through the first 3 tracks. Haven't been able to listen to any Cloudkicker since Beacons.

I've really enjoyed each release he has put out. I read his blog quite a bit and I think you'll hear a more 90's alternative rock influence on this release. He's been mentioning Smashing Pumpkins and Hum in a few of his posts.

Just listened to it again- it's not bad (none of his stuff is), but it's not something I enjoy listening to.

Yea, I was really surprised when Let Yourself Be Huge came out, as it went from blast beats on Beacons to post rock type stuff, which doesn't interest me in the least. We're Goin In is my favorite song of his, and it's a shame if he's quit making songs like that.

Just saw on his blog that he's leaning towards Silversun Pickups and Smashing Pumpkins type stuff, definitely not interested. Maybe it will get him some new fans though.

That's too bad, it's one of his best works. It's different, sure, but it's fantastic.

I loved Loop, I listen to that one the most. I actually love all of his records. Very excited to see where this new one goes.

He posted a sample of an unfinished song, without lead guitars.

He has also described the new record in an interview:

'Imagine drawing a line between The Discovery and Beacons and extrapolating that trend out a bit farther. Then mix in some mid-90s arena-shoegaze.'

So if you want old/Beacons Cloudkicker, you are going to love this. Unless you're a douche.

I wonder if their first album is called 'Kit' :-)
