fun. has been nominated for 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. The band scored the "Best New Artist" nod, and "We Are Young" predictably got in the "Best Pop Video" category.

They're in Philly tonight and because I'm seeing Anchor & Braille instead, this will be the first time they've ever played here (since 2008) that I haven't seen them.

I mean, good for them... but is an MTV award even a big deal anymore. seems like id throw that award in my closet when i got home.
