Sounds so good.

Zack Zarrillo 08/07/12 12:34 PM

Not a fan of old material, but this sounds real good

thirtyfourdays 08/07/12 12:36 PM

sounds pretty good. i almost forgot this was coming out. one of my all time favorite bands.

i ordered this and "tell all your friends" on amazon back in 02 strictly because "tell all your friends" was a recommended album for people who listened to FSF. who would of thought that i'd have listened to TAYF about 10,000 times more? ha

Someone smack Zack for me.

ThaRealNC 08/07/12 12:40 PM

I. Cannot. Wait. But I have to. So I guess I'll wait. But I'm not gonna be happy about it.

MattRM 08/07/12 12:42 PM

Last song sounds so awesome.

You and your old people music.

-- This is a band that I try to get into (all 3 iterations) several times a year. I try. Will try again soon

brandonisstupid 08/07/12 12:45 PM

Cannot wait for this record to drop. I'm going to avoid listening until they put out an entire track. I hate listening to clips of different songs. I'd rather listen to one track in it's entirety, then 30 seconds of every track.

Ignore the last version.

Old people music. Please. "How to Start a Fire" is what all the bands in their crappy tank-tops should be aspiring to write.

phillipjacob 08/07/12 12:47 PM

The clips sound so crisp, I get the sense this will be an album that grips your emotions like a roller coaster in the best kind of way.

I want to make a poll on the AP.net home page regarding whether tanks are so terrible or not. I will win

There doesn't need to be a poll ... tank tops are terrible and no self-respecting man should wear them that is not actively playing basketball. And even then if your arms look like tooth-picks, don't do it.

You're wrong. PS, I like the start of The Moon Is Down this time

anamericangod 08/07/12 12:57 PM

Not a fan of the vocal effects on that first track, but everything else sounds awesome.

I still can't believe this is actually happening.

Yeah, but you wear tank tops ... so your opinion is as invalid as your attempt at wearing a shirt.

So harsh, Jason. So harsh

CallumSty 08/07/12 01:02 PM

Oh man. Sounds so fucking good! I wish they hadn't teased so many 30 second clips, when the albums not out for over 2 months. The excitement will end me. just like waiting for "Southern Air" has since I heard "Always Summer".

I'm so glad early 2000 era bands are coming back and kicking ass!

I've been living in a hotel for a week ... I am at new levels of harsh so rarely seen by the outside world.

I feel like my back would be wrecked with whatever chair I'd be using in a hotel. I can't even imagine

bluecrunchy 08/07/12 01:04 PM

This sounds better than I expected. And I expected it to sound awesome.

kennedyAM 08/07/12 01:06 PM

Reminds me little of The Moon is Down. But, in saying that, it's a very balanced mix of what we grew to love with FSF and what Chris tried to accomplish in the heavier dashboard.

Incendiary 08/07/12 01:08 PM

I hope more of the songs are like the last one posted in the clip, the first 3 sound like new Dashboard songs. Usually records like this fall short of their previous material because they lack the urgency and aggression. That's what made the first 2 FSF records so great.

JstnBsn 08/07/12 01:08 PM

anyone else hoping for a secret jason guest vocal on the new album? seeing as how they at least seem to be friendly now.

one of the greatest opening songs in the scene exist on that album. ugh NEED this album now!

Chcurry182 08/07/12 01:09 PM

Rise records is slowly becoming one of my favorite labels. They've released a lot of good albums in the past year.

Rise & Hopeless are my favourites, easily I think.

KNBE 08/07/12 01:21 PM

Anybody know who produced this?

cholly 08/07/12 01:21 PM

Show me the pre-order.

bradsonemanband 08/07/12 01:24 PM

You and me both. But I am not going to listen to these clips, I want to listen to this puppy in its entirety when it drops. TOO excited.

I don't often quote Jason Tate, but when I do, it's about FSF and how accurate that statement is. Nothing, to me, musically, has come close in the last ten years (although Thrice's Major/Minor was pretty the best album since then, IMO).

GeeBee 08/07/12 01:31 PM

Sounds a bit more like new Dashboard than FSF, but still excited.

I like what i hear. Some tracks do sound like they'd fit right in on a dashboard album, but overall it sounds like classic further seems forever.

roberthuston 08/07/12 01:49 PM

exciting

billyboatkid 08/07/12 01:49 PM

Might have to buy this.

theagentcoma 08/07/12 01:56 PM

This sounds good. Like really good.

uglystar03 08/07/12 02:03 PM

Sounds good, but I'm not sure if it will hit me like The Moon is Down did all those years ago.

Sounds promising, def has a Moon Is Down feel to it, in my opinion.

irthesteve 08/07/12 02:09 PM

sounds like Dashboard, haha

EDIT: the first, third and fourth, not the second
