Adam's Day Has Been Ruined

Update: Apparently the band is still going strong.

Limp Bizkit are calling it quits.

My name is Adam. My day has been made.

sleepyseanzzz 08/17/12 11:23 AM

they don't tour in America because they don't know what's going on in America?

Manufactured Dreams 08/17/12 11:23 AM

This should make one of my exes pretty upset. Today was a good day.

*I think I'll call him and ask him has he heard :-)

Edit: Damn you Keagan! Getting my hopes up like that :sadangel:

Fish Man Alex 08/17/12 11:24 AM

I almost cared

Avalanche1 08/17/12 11:25 AM

Guitarist said they aren't done: http://propertyofzack.com/post/29629...aims-guitarist

They did it all for the nookie.

The Revisionist 08/17/12 11:25 AM

That's not what the article says at all.

In before this thread becomes a mad scene.

To the death of nu-metal!

domotime2 08/17/12 11:29 AM

People will comment, not read...

But the things he said are really interesting and honest...theyre quiting because they realize that they.were a product.of an era/gebre, a genre that doesnt have a following anymore. Kinda fascinating.

I read this so I didn't have to read the article. Thanks bud!

Joey-Wan Kenobi 08/17/12 11:32 AM

That article didn't say they were done. What was it, like paragraph two that said they aren't. Of course their fans moved on, that's the cycle of a band who starts releasing worse material every few years...

tomtom94 08/17/12 11:32 AM

If only Fred Durst could have realised this years ago.

I'm intrigued to see what happens next, though. What with DJ Lethal quitting he and Borland might make a whole new band.

JayDanielHammer 08/17/12 11:32 AM

A lot of bands could take this to heart and realize their genre's fanbase is dead.

They aren't breaking up. They just don't play America anymore. So glad I got to see them in NYC a couple of years ago.

whiterussian 08/17/12 11:35 AM

They said nowhere they were calling quits.

I saw that quote from Durst like a week ago, they just talk about US touring.
I'm interested in listening to the Unquestionable Truth Part 2, mostly out of curiosity.

Jordioteque 08/17/12 11:40 AM

Reading comprehension, people. It's not a break-up, sadly.

Joel Ion 08/17/12 11:45 AM

Please?

iseejosh 08/17/12 11:57 AM

If they dont want to/ arent going to perform in America anymore, what was the point of signing to Cash Money?

They're putting together a club tour this winter.

TheRealJohnOC 08/17/12 11:59 AM

Such a non-story. What do you expect from NME?

t00latef0rr0ses 08/17/12 12:15 PM

what an emotional rollercoaster i was on...

kidinthebushes 08/17/12 12:47 PM

I was going to say that this doesn't make sense because they just signed to Cash Money, right?

AussieBoy 08/17/12 12:59 PM

I'm actually really glad I got to see limp bizkit again in their short reunion as a full line up back at soundwave in feb. Was a great concert and probably had the biggest and most enthusiastic set of the day on a bill that slipknot and SOAD were great in too.
Not bummed they're broken up as gold cobra was mainly average , just glad I saw them

live. 08/17/12 01:32 PM

There's just so much more nookie to be had

MyFriendsOver 08/17/12 02:18 PM

Someone probably already said this, but:
Why don't they tour in America? Because their fanbase dried up.
Why did their fanbase dry up? Because they don't tour in America.

If love to see LB live, but I can't because they don't give me an opportunity to do so.

rushour144 08/17/12 03:02 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What will I do now that no one is reminding me they did it all for the nookie?

Capulet 08/17/12 03:19 PM

good. big fan of last cd

March_Faster!! 08/17/12 04:29 PM

"Twelve years later, lots of those people have moved on. We were a moment in time and it's over." I applaud the self-awareness. It remains true, broken up or not.

Journey408 08/17/12 04:58 PM

thank GOD! still haven't seen em live yet

gimme something to break! how bout your ___ face!

Spencer Control 08/17/12 06:31 PM

I can't believe this isn't actually true.

CastlesXClouds 08/18/12 12:49 AM

well uh regardless fuck limp biskict

hideblind 08/18/12 01:38 AM

Rearranged is such a solid tune.

gurrentzy321 08/18/12 07:18 AM

I would like to see them one last time before they are actually "done." I enjoyed their music for a while, and it would be good to hear some of their old tunes again.

kallok 08/18/12 09:16 AM

I remember perhaps the last time they were going to do a North American tour, ticket sales were shitty and they ended up canceling the entire tour.

First album was great. Then Fred got a touch of hollywood and completely changed everything about how he acted, how he sang, how he rapped. He became a sell out joke, and that made him a ton of money. How he can sit there and whine about how America is all about "the next thing" when he made his millions selling out to that exact same ideal shows just how stupid he truly is. Put out music that sounds like what your band started as before you were having millions of dollars thrown at you, and you'll make a decent living and have these weird things called ACTUAL FANS. All your fault, bro. Get over yourself.
