Paramore Not Streaming from R&L

According to the BBC's Reading and Leeds site, Paramore have chosen to not have the BBC broadcast and livestream anything from their R&L sets. Could there be new material being debuted?

Bit of a stupid move, would have been great prime time publicity.

fbrrocks 08/22/12 02:28 PM

i hope someone there films them and uploads it to youtube

Manufactured Dreams 08/22/12 02:29 PM

Fuck! I would do terrible things to hear new songs so if that's the reason I'm bummed.

Edit: I love that picture of her.

Rysker6 08/22/12 02:32 PM

The Illuminati hate cameras. Just like hippos.

lp670sv 08/22/12 02:32 PM

right because youtube doesn't exist and there won't be upwards of 200 tweens filming every song, at least some of which will have good audio.

SpyKi 08/22/12 02:34 PM

I hope so, I wanna hear something.

SILYW 08/22/12 02:41 PM

Well I'll be seeming them at Reading, so should find out around this time in 2 days.

Kris_Gontz9 08/22/12 02:57 PM

I want new music, whatever way we get it..

irthesteve 08/22/12 02:59 PM

I heard they are all playing in the nude actually

MeganAB 08/22/12 03:00 PM

it'll end up on the internet somehow anyway

yeah i agree now another band will be on tv instead

lucygray 08/22/12 03:40 PM

I'd rather get a legit stream from the BBC or whatever then a shitty quality version via YouTube but whatever.

zildjian 08/22/12 04:03 PM

I doubt they will be debuting new songs. They are playing the same set in the UK in exact order as they did in USA before they came over.

I saw them the other day. Whilst the sound wasnt terrible, it was neither great. Ridiculously loud bass drum, weird vocal effects/echo on the mic, and weird backing noises.

I enjoyed myself, but if i was to watch it back on tv and "not be in the moment" at the gig. I dont know if would have been that impressed by it all.

I agree; I've seen people say that they saw the videos and weren't impressed, which isn't really something that you want everyone to be thinking right before you drop your first album since half your band left.

Hey hey...
No material from album #4 will be debuted. Honestly, we have played this fest a few times and two times on practically the same album cycle. The next time we do something big and widely publicized we want it to be for our new album. Whether that's a bad move or not... We aren't really doing this show for anyone else but our fans who will be there. And plus we are opening for The Cure. Who would pass that up?

Ps, thx for giving me the chance to practice how I'm gonna answer that question in every interview at reading!! :p

soulineyes 08/22/12 04:21 PM

The videos from Pomona and Belsonic were great! Can't wait to see you guys in the Midwest again! Good luck, and hope everything comes together for the album <3

itaketoberlin 08/22/12 04:50 PM

Who do they think they are?

esposimi 08/22/12 04:57 PM

Like anyone outside the UK would have been able to watch it anyway. Except me of course. They are probably reeling from all the illegal streams there were of the Olympic Games.

daftpunker45 08/22/12 06:09 PM

Something will come out somehow.

luqmanhakim 08/22/12 06:45 PM

Makes sense about the album cycle part.

SilenceBrokenTT 08/22/12 07:20 PM

Don't really wanna hear any bad audio of new songs anyways... would much rather wait for a studio version to hear a new song first.

Cool. Also, The Cure? That's the dream, congrats...I almost did a cover bands show with my friends as them, but then it didn't work out and everyone was mad about it, ha. Also, I wanna ask you a question about a fem column I'm doing soon, so hopefully I can get in touch!

danperez 08/22/12 08:18 PM

Answer: Yes. END THREAD!!

If you're still at Leeds on the Sunday the 26th, go check out Don Broco on the Festival Republic stage. You'll dig!

Good to see you poking around here again! Hope you have a great time at Reading & Leeds. I heard the Pomona show was a blast.

But wow. Opening for the Cure. That's beyond awesome.

VeryWittyName 08/23/12 04:18 AM

Now everyone is talking about The Cure I feel it's appropriate to say that one time Robert Smith's nephew tried to get my ID so he could go clubbing and I denied the sucka.

Agreed. A lot of people watch on BBC Three, BBC Two in the evenings and of course BBC Radio 1.

They're missing out on the opportunity of gaining a lot more fans by doing this.

EatShit182 08/23/12 10:37 AM

Ehh, I doubt it. Paramore isn't at the stage anymore where they can hide new material that easily. It's not even in question whether or not the set will find it's way onto the internet, and surely they know that. I can't really tell you why they're not having it broadcast, but I'm almost positive that's not the reason.

She already responded about it.

Yeah, I gotta learn to check these things first.. but hey, I totally called it.

PeteRoe 08/27/12 05:08 PM

I saw them at Reading and they played a regular set which was decent.

The bass on the drum was louder than normal and there was a different feel about some of the songs for sure. Then again, it is a slightly different line up so it is kind of to be expected. Excited for the new album, positive it is going to be great. If it is half as good as BNE, I will dig.

quizonmyface 08/27/12 05:26 PM

I saw them at Leeds and Hayley's voice is the best it has ever been by a million miles. No Farro brothers made me a sad panda though, there was definitely no 'band' aspect to the performance.

The prom dresses of the eighties always had extra fabric added in the design. These dresses were generally colorful and basically of darker shades. The most important thing about prom dresses during the 1980's was the usage of stunning gold, steel silver, beautiful pinks and electric blues. The gowns were really daring in their structure and quite often attracted interest at all prom parties. These gowns often touched the shins sweeping onto the floor. These body-hugging dresses had designs made of sequins or even ruffles. The kinds of fabrics used were basically lovely silks or velvets and soft satins. Lace and pearls were as well included into the design.
