Under The Gun Presents: 15 Anniversary Tours We Want in '13
Today Under The Gun has a pretty cool feature in which they list the 15 anniversary tours they'd like to see happen in 2013.
|
More like NEED to happen...
|
I am relatively confidant in at least 2 of these 15 actually happening. We had about 45 albums to choose from, so feel free to add your own in this thread
|
pretty solid list... i would love a thursday War all the Time tour!
|
One of these bands may have told me about a possible coheadliner with another of these bands for next year . Fingers crossed it works out
|
I would pee my pants of any of these bands (minus Avenged Sevenfold) did those.

Spill it. |
Lots of great choices
|
I didn't even have to click the link to know what was going to be first.
|
Great list. Some others I'd like to see- an ETID Hot Damn! anniversary tour, a Death Cab Transatlanticism one, and a Murder By Death Who Will Survive... tour would be amazing.
And if they were still around, a Boys Night Out Make Yourself Sick tour. |
High likelihood:
Yellowcard, Early November, Something Corporate Low likelihood: Thursday, Fall Out Boy, Brand New, The Format |
good lord, I forget how spoiled we were that year, would love to see many of these happen.

Brand New did one night in AC playing Your Favorite Weapon in full. I'd be surprised if they didn't do at least a very short run for Deja. |
I want Deja Etentour and Touries & Alibies.
|
Agree about AFI and Thursday.
|
I'd kill to see 'Stories and Alibis' live.
|
...and Tour All The Time.
|
2 of these are happening for sure, and are doing it on tour together.

I, For one, would pay to NOT see the ataris tour happen. Kris Roe is the musician version of 'The Wrestler.' It's fucking sad. No thank you.

UTG also put together a Spotify playlist to keep the nostalgia alive & well.

SOTY hasn't toured in forever, but a 10th anniversary tour for Page Avenue would be sweet.

I hope the Ocean Avenue tour happens.

I have been sworn to secrecy! Haha BUT, look at the list. Pay attention to the album names, put them together, it makes a lot of sense ;) |
Love a lot of these, hope some of these happen.

i want the something corporate fall out boy afi and yellowcard one's to happen
|
All I'm asking for is AT LEAST a SoCo tour. I sure hope it happens.
(The Yellowcard tour is basically a lock. No real need to fret about that one.) |
Bummed to not see Motion City Soundtrack's I Am The Movie.
Also, Blink's S/T not being included in blasphemous. It's highly unlikely but still one of the best records of that year that is still listenable |
I've heard (although kind of a while ago) that Page Avenue is going to happen.
|
yeah it's HIGHLY likely the Page Avenue anniversary tour will happen, they've been hinting at it these past few months on twitter/facebook (posting alot of things related to the album like videos or "what's your favorite song on it"...)
|
If its. A FOB/Yellowcard tour I will be so happy.

2003 was an incredible year for 'our scene'

Still a solid list and I wouldn't mind seeing any of the 15 you guys listed |
That was like a list of my favorite albums sans Avenged Sevenfold and The Ataris. Would sell organs for Interventions and Lullabies or War All The Time tours.

Maybe a part 2 is in order? |

TEN will probably happen, talked to em about it
|
the ones I really want:
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue The Ataris - So Long Astoria The Early November - The Room's Too Cold Brand New - Deja Entendu Mae - Destination: Beautiful The Lawrence Arms - The Greatest Story Ever Told |
Quote:
That is a possibility. We had a ton of submissions from staff. 2003 was a good year. |

Anyway, this list makes me feel old. So many of the first records I loved. Best live band out of these is SOTY but I prefer In the Wake and Black Swan to Page Avenue. |
If I had my choice, these would be the reunion tours:
Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute Brand New - Deja Entendu Lucero - That Much Further West Frenzal Rhomb - Sans Souci Blink-182 - Blink-182 The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium |
Glad to see Sing The Sorrow on the list. I don't think it'll happen since AFI is keeping a pretty low profile these days. They haven't really done anything cool for the fans lately either. If it happens though, it will be the coolest musical experience ever for me. Those songs are why I'm into music, and nothing would ever top hearing it in it's entirety. I'm also hoping Adeline does a vinyl repressing (with the silver cover would be awesome) since it's so long out of print, but that's also pretty doubtful, I'd say.
Tours I'd also enjoy: Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets (even though I've seen this happen already) Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning The Lawrence Arms - The Greatest Story Ever Told Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute Rufio - MCMLXXXV The Mars Volta - Deloused In The Comatorium (Broken up bands:) From Autumn To Ashes - The Fiction We Live |
