No Use For A Name To Play Canadian Festival
 
No Use For A Name will play a show at Envol and Macadam festival in Quebec City on September 8th in memory of Tony Sly. They do not have any other show booked for the moment.

This would be a great show to see and a celebration no doubt. It would be nice to see many different people pay their respects to Tony, including my ultimate favourite, Joey Cape doing NUFAN songs. Might have to find my way out to Quebec!

So fitting it's in Canada, those guys always took the time to tour up here and it was always greatly appreciated. Seeing NUFAN in May 2009 and Tony solo in April 2010 and June 2011 are three shows I'll never, ever forget.

In the obituary I saw that also listed Funeral Arrangements it said that he died in his sleep.

but how though? people in their 40s don't just die naturally in their sleep.

From what I read on Punknews, its not at all uncommon for it to take months for the cause of death in a situation like Tonys.

yeah, for sure. i just was curious if there was any official announcement anywhere about his official cause of death in case i missed it at some point.

It'll probably happen, it's just that this show was already scheduled and they have a really good connection with the city.
