Really? I've literally been listening to nothing but for the past week or so.

Band of Horses is one of my all time favorite bands, Everything all the time and Cease To Begin is masterpieces. But the new album is so far underwhelming, which makes me so sad. There is no melodies and almost every song is acoustic. where is the rock n roll?...

I agree I was really let down by this album

i just got it 2 days ago and can't stop listening either. don't understand the hate... this definitely caught me quicker than Infinite Arms did.

i guess this is just what happens when you release such a critically acclaimed debut... there will always be those fans who feel underwhelmed, and will never be satisfied with any new direction a band goes.

meh, all i know is i'm loving it.

I prefer this to the other tracks I've heard from this album, still not particularly blown away though

I don't understand why they call this album mirage rock, their isn't much rock at all. I expected alot more from them. There are a couple of decent songs but for some reason his voice sounds off :\

Well, I wasn't being literal about the confusion but thanks for bringing clarity to this thread. Since you haven't heard the whole record, you have no clue what I am talking about.

Guess not but I've heard 4 songs and they've all been pretty consistent. I'm going to go ahead and assume the rest of the record follows suit...
