I'm seeing a lot of "this is so cute" comments in this thread. Is that supposed to transition into good songwriting or something? Because I'm not hearing a good song coming out of that SoundCloud. I probably won't listen to this song past today. Weak songwriting, borderline unbearable production/recording. Good idea for a project. Bad execution.

It is pretty cute though.

I don't like Sherri's voice, therefore this song irks me.

it's no Mixtapes, that's for sure ;-)

Chorus is great. Verses seem to lack something nonetheless good song.

I think it's time for me to give up on trying to enjoy Max Bemis' music. I haven't listened to Anarchy, My Dear since it first came out. I haven't listened to the self-titled in years. The Painful Splits are painful to listen to. I just have to stop holding out hope.

You mean the same Mixtapes album that you liked and tweeted about a bunch?

Mistle 09/12/12 05:05 PM

Sounds pretty much how I expected. Though to be honest I prefer the 2 songs they released a few years back.

Can't see myself listening to Perma any more beyond the first time. Not that I hate it or anything, it just doesn't really give me a reason to keep listening.

yeah I like that and I like this. Both acts make enjoyable music, I don't see the much difference between liking Perma and liking something like Mixtapes.

I guess if you wanna boil it down to logistics, there is no difference between liking something like Perma and something like anything else. It comes down to personal preference and what sounds better to you and what you enjoy more. It's not like these two bands share any sort of characteristics - it seems as though the only connection you've drawn between the two is the YOU find them both enjoyable.

Does it really matter how complicated it is? It's just personal preference.

Chorus is great!

evanmeindl 09/12/12 05:45 PM

Why does Max write good songs and exclude them on SA albums?

asthenia* 09/12/12 05:51 PM

i'm quickly starting to like sherri more than max. she gets better and better and well... he seems to have plateaued.
