Random semi-related stupid question: how long does it usually take to vote when you go down to the polls? Are there polls all over? Are the lines crazy? My sheltered Oregonian mind has always been curious.

Can't help you there, my friend. Just barely missed the cut of in this year's election (motherfucker). Anyways, I'd imagine that voting early would have a significantly earlier shorter line than actually on the day of the election.

Yes, there are polling places everywhere. Find the one closest to you here. How long it will take/how long the lines will be entirely depend upon where you live and what time of day you go to the polls as the actual voting process itself is very quick. Hope that helps.

Ohhhh I look like an idiot haha. Didn't realize Oregon's a vote-by-mail state, cool. Did you guys switch to that before Washington or were they first?

Oh it's not a problem haha. I think we were first to make it mandatory? We've had this system since as long as I can remember (I've lived here since 1997 and I don't ever recall there being polls in that time), and I think Washington just enacted theirs a little while ago, although I think they've had the option to for a while and it's only now mandatory. It's sooo much more convenient imo, which is why I was curious about the polls lol

Yeah sounds like you guys were before Washington. I bet it's super convenient, but it'll be kind of awkward when the USPS eventually goes under haha.
