Well, on the plus side, they are selling a digital copy of the album for a dollar, which is cool. Then again, why not just fucking release the album?

Yeah, that $1 download is good. That's it. Everything else is overpriced because they're making shirt/hoodies exclusively for this Kickstarter. And they're selling a backdrop for $2,000... and none of the pledges stack up. You have to make multiple accounts to get multiple rewards, paying separately.

Wow, two people payed 400, one payed 2,000 and one played 3,000. Good for them.

Their kickstarter has barely been up for a day and they've already made over 20 grand and they've just sold out a number of UK shows. They've definitely got a solid fanbase.

So from what I gather... The record is already made, and they're just holding it hostage until their fans collectively cough up 150k? Pretty dickblasty, but I guess that's one way to make sure you recoup expenses from making your shitty record.

I actually think that's really cool. If I was super rich, and actually liked this band, I would totally do that. Having a song named after you would be pretty awesome.

I think this is a pretty safe assumption. I've never listened to them, but the songs they play at the end sound (if those are new) releasable in their current state - so who knows.

I'm not a huge fan of these guys but I'm sure if they saw these replies, they'd be laughing. They try to be controversial so the fact that their Kickstarter is pissing everybody off probably makes them happy. Especially since they probably know it'll get funded.

For a vinyl that is only available through this and will never be printed again, it doesn't seem that bad to me.

Sure it is. Plenty of smaller bands do runs of like 500 and still keep the cost WAY below $50
