New Years Day's upcoming full-length won't be out until next year on Century Media Records, but you can stream the first single, "Do Your Worst," now on their AP.net profile. The dark pop/rock band is best described as a cross between My Chemical Romance and VersaEmerge. If you like what you hear, pick up the song when it hits iTunes tomorrow.

wow, digging this more than anything on their last record. I still miss the My Dear style though.

This is actually pretty cool. Digging it for sure. An improvement from the songwriting on their last release for sure.

i really dont know why they tour w BOTDF, they share no qualities alike whatsoever.

I'll check them out just for the My Chem comparison.

He still does, it's just religious stuff with his church now.

This is pretty good. It's definitely an improvement over their last album. Now they just need to tour with better bands.

Less female-Aiden but still not as great as they once were and could be.

They were better before they added the "dark" to their music IMO, before Adam left and when they were just good pop punk. Now it feels like they're trying to jump on some awful emo (in the sense of hot topic and lots of black) bandwagon.

I feel like there are less tacky ways to approach the dark and mysterious element they have going on. The beginning just reminded me of cheesy music people play in the background of their front yard Halloween displays. The rest of the song is ok though.

I actually enjoy this quite a bit.
Production is top notch. Guitars sound huge.

Same dude who mixed I The Mighty's EP....production is pretty solid, only real complaint is how sibilant it is but besides that, pretty stellar

this is a big step for the band, and 2013 is going to be their year!

I absolutely adore New Years Day. I finally was able to see them I think two years ago at Warped Tour and they blew me away. I've been a fan since they started out on Myspace when Adam was still in the band.

That album "My Dear" is absolutely amazing. They don't get enough attention. They deserve it. This new track is real good, too.
