Pitchfork's Review of Death Cab's Transatlanticism

http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/...nsatlanticism/

Was this intended?

movingxpictures 10/29/12 12:52 PM

oh Pitchfork.

mattjritter 10/29/12 01:11 PM

haha love these notes:

"start-shame on band, damn this record. makes me feel old and wise"

Ryan Dennehy 10/29/12 02:27 PM

what am i even reading? was this always like this?

MADSTA 10/29/12 02:48 PM

Pretty embarrassing.

El_Jeffe 10/29/12 02:52 PM

Haha ah well, it's surely a formula we all must have long suspected by this point. Exactly why I can't read their reviews.

Ryan Dennehy 10/29/12 02:54 PM

I'm being told that this review has always been like this and is deliberately so.

cpizzle20 10/29/12 02:55 PM

what is the point of this thread

georgedcc 10/29/12 02:55 PM

It might be just a weird idea for a review and not necessarily a mistake. Maybe.

Their review for Desaparecidos was pretty strange as well: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/...speak-spanish/

Look at the link. Does that look like a typical review to you?

Was just looking for insight across the AP community on this one.

Wonder what the thought was behind it...

Very odd. Regardless, it's a very strange way to review of such a great album.

other unorthodox pitchfork reviews: the eminem show, every album by jet, ______

They wrote like this for a long period of time for whatever reason. Not sure what motivated them to stop.

Nope, can't say I've read much of their reviews before 2007 or so (when I started digging into different types of music).

Just thought it was odd.

Jake Jenkins 10/29/12 03:03 PM

ITT: people read pitchfork for the first time

it's 2012

Argentine 10/29/12 03:07 PM

here's a more pressing discussion from the past: remember when mattjritter got mad about the usher and frank ocean threads?
