Matt and Toby Pre-Orders

Pre-orders for the debut Matt & Toby (Emery) release are now available. Some interesting options here, including a "Song Shop"-style package that allows the buyer to write the lyrics.

Probably the first decent preorder options I have ever seen.

Bands charging extra for a signed copy of a CD shouldn't be a thing.

cholly 10/29/12 06:27 PM

I want this... on vinyl.

RabidNewz 10/29/12 06:40 PM

I wish the option which allows you to write lyrics for a song was a bit cheaper.

Man I love this dudes voice. I wasn't even aware this side project was in existence til now. I really dig 'what plays in my heart'. Really looking forward to this release.

I just feel like most people these days (or at least in the same demographic as me) go either digital or vinyl for music so why make CD pre orders?

xsinkshipsx 10/29/12 07:09 PM

this is just acoustic emery basically

mattregan 10/29/12 11:38 PM

Good Boys is my jam.

Looking forward to it.

Most CD pre orders come with a digital download now a days so I usually buy that. I don't like to buy vinyl unless I really like the band but I still like having a physical copy so I usually buy the CD.

The pre order options are cool tho. It's pretty much like Kickstarter rewards without the Kickstarter.

Really cool pre-order options. I'd prefer a vinyl option, but whatever.

tylerschnizzle 10/30/12 07:31 AM

I bought the "we'll write a song with your lyrics" option. Pretty stoked to say the least. Hopefully they'll promote the songs they feel actually worked out well.

That $50 option for having Emery lyrics to the song of your choice should sell out in a snap with only 20 available, especially considering you get an autographed CD and T-shirt. How often do you get the chance to have access to handwritten lyrics to your favorite Emery song for ~$25, minus the rest of the package? Sweet deal.

towrope 10/30/12 11:21 AM

I really hope they release/let us listen to the songs they make for people What a cool idea. I'd love to have them sing someone elses story.

I boutght this option, but it still says 20 available, weird? Anyway, framed, it will look awesome up in my loft, now I just have to decide what Emery lyrics mean the most to me.

I'm assuming when it sells out, it will remove the "20 available" and be replaced by the "Sold Out," like the playing-with-the-band option sold out.
