Issues Post New Song, "Princeton Ave"
Head to the replies to check out a new song from Issues, "Princeton Ave". This is also my personal favorite from the band's debut EP, Black Diamonds, which drops 11/13 on Velocity/Rise Records.

These little pop/r&b sections in these songs are horrible, was hoping for something more fun this band. Tylers comments to Jonny Craig were pretty funny. Im all for bashing craig but to say youve surpassed him is funny. Jonnys voice shits on Tylers..

I feel this is just as bad as new Woe, except Issues have better structure and rhythm. Extremely basic guitar lines, electronics that sound like they're just thrown in just for the hell of it, and bland delivery. Props to them for trying to mix it up I guess.

Woe, Is Me > it's shitty ex members who should be working at mcdonalds but are still holding on for some dumb reason :-d
|
deez nuts r guna recreeait the seen az we kno it!!! omg s000 stokced.

There's a piano intro missing off the song in this rip
|
If youre scared bitch go to church
|
Meh. I like it just a little bit. Not really anything to be overly excited about though.

singing part a little after the 2-minute mark reminds me of "thinkin' 'bout you" a bit.

Not as bad as I expected. I like the singing in the bridge (?) part. Didn't cringe at the lyrics too.

Nope. |
On a serious note I dont get how a band like this and Woe, Is Me afford to tour in a bus

I like this track, im guessing the whole ep will be good

It's sad because this song, and this band could be good minus the pointless chugs, screaming, r&b/chug pieces. Oh wait... that's their "genre".
It's too bad Tyler Carter didn't realize leaving behind Woe, Is Me was a major blessing, and move on to a good hard-rock (or whatever the fuck you want to call music now) band that doesn't incorporate these, what I call, "warehouse metal-core" shit that Woe, Is Me was all about. Sad... |
I actually like the pop/r&b parts in this track, save the lyrics. I think Tyler Carter has a really good voice, but the "hardcore" stuff just ruins it. It's such a shame that he's fronting some of the worst musicians I've ever heard. All this guitar player is doing is chugging power chords, its pretty pathetic. I would much rather hear his voice over a more progressive Emarosa/Tides of Man-esque sound rather than this bland, over done chugXcore shit.
I'm sure the target demographic is eating this shit up though. |
i think the fact that if by some force in the universe Drake or some rapper asked Tyler to sing on their song, he would quit this band and run with it in a heart beat, irks me. The opening riff and singing is cool tho.

good song

I really enjoyed this song. However, their screamer has absolutely no range, which was my same complaint with W,IM's debut album.
I really enjoy the riff during the chorus though. |

Have to say... the chorus is pretty damn catchy
|
Yea, I mean...I am digging these bridges for sure.

I keep seeing comments in here that refer to "chugs", "screams", and "R&B" simultaneously. Is it all of a sudden normal to have those three things together in a song or....?

Definitely agree with Denning, this is their best song so far.

Nope

This is the most boring metalcore song i've ever heard.

Thanks! I actually preordered this album from merchnow but I kind of wish I didn't now. Probably would have been better to wait for the bargain bin! |

Eh it wasn't much. This isn't HORRENDOUS, just very uninspired. |
Going to have to disagree with Jake - I'd say this is my third favorite.
Also, if you like this, you'll like the EP as a whole. |
I liked the first shit talk song a lot better than this one.
|
Bought the song on itunes, haven't listened to it yet. Not a huge fan on the r&b stuff in their songs. And tyler hasen't surpassed jonny craig by any means singing wise
|
I really like it. These lyrics are way better than a band talking shit about another. I have huge respect for them writing this.
|
Not too bad. Probably wont be my favorite but I think I need a couple more listens
