Incredible!

Kris_Gontz9 11/05/12 12:12 PM

Really good.

brokencyde 11/05/12 12:21 PM

Sounds like Warning era Green Day. Awesome sauce.

Jason Tate 11/05/12 12:29 PM

Well, Dos! officially sucks -- so I guess we're all now waiting and hoping THIS album is good out of the three released. Fuck.

SteveD 11/05/12 12:34 PM

So they are 0/2. While Dos! was better than Uno! it still sucked. Nightlife was an embarrassment to their back catalogue and their fans.

Haha, really? I'm guessing they could have put the best songs from each record onto one release and therefore had one really good record than 3 mediocre ones.

simplejack 11/05/12 12:39 PM

Better than almost everything on Dos! Disappointed to say to least.

It's actually what I'm doing. A playlist with the songs I like the most from these last three albums and 21st Century Breakdown which I liked for, like, a week.

SteveLikesMusic 11/05/12 12:40 PM

Oooo this does sound great. I can' t wait to make a tracklist for the best of these 3 albums.

well to make a playlist of the best songs off of all 3 albums then hopefully tre will have 11 good songs or else you'll have a one track playlist

Make sense, but I enjoyed 21stCB tbh...

I wonder if they'll release a 'Best Of' the 3 records 2 months later...

TSLataris 11/05/12 12:54 PM

This actually sounds quite good.

fsmith84 11/05/12 12:57 PM

Damn. Really nice sound on this one.

In the UNO! liner notes, they had a "Quatro!" record with Jason White's face on it. I'd actually like to see them release it with the best of the 3 sessions on there. Granted, I won't buy it since I'll have the others, but it would be interesting to see what they think the best tracks from each release are.

CellarGhosts 11/05/12 01:34 PM

This one clip is already better than everything on Uno and Dos.

OldSchoolReason 11/05/12 01:37 PM

If you can't find more than one song you find enjoyable off of both Uno and Dos combined, then you are just blanket bitching. I do think they could have condensed this into one album, but releasing an album doesn't really mean what it used to. The record label is considering this one album according to their contract, so just look at it such as Green Day releasing every single thing they recorded this year to you (A, B,C sides?). I don't think anyone would be complaining as much if they just released some of this stuff digitally, but the fact that it is being put in an album form is giving it this stigma.

Quatro's the documentary on the making of all 3 albums.

Exactly, almost everyone listens to music by selecting tracks on a computer now anyway so why not release all the songs you've been working on and let the fans decide which they want to listen to.

With Dos, every new song that found its way online has been met with positive comments, except the one with Lady Cobra. How can it have gone from "I like this much better than anything on Uno", "This sounds great, like Foxboro", etc, to being such a disappointment?

I hear a lot of The Network on Dosí nightlife isn't a great song but its unmemorable at worst, I don't think it deserves to be singled out as their worst song ever. That would be Christians Inferno for me.

Basketcase 11/05/12 02:41 PM

sounds good. really like the vocals in this. sort of has a Warning-vibe to it.

Never listened to what was coming out - just heard the album though, and deleted it.

Gotta let Dos sink in a little more but thought there were some standout tracks on there. Probably should've just picked the best 12-14 to make one killer album. Still better than Blink 182's Neighborhoods though. Now THAT is one confused record.

I'll never understand, seeing as we're about the same age and probably had many of the same coming-of-age moment with music, why you like Blink 182 more than Green Day.

Agreed. I gotta say, "Stay The Night" off Uno is on my top 5 all-time favorite GD songs.

I like Green Day's good albums. Not sure just you think I don't.

And yet still better than the last 3 GD albums.

tjdohner21 11/05/12 03:13 PM

i enjoy uno. Some stuff reminds me of kerplunk and nimrod. good albums.

tjdohner21 11/05/12 03:13 PM

nothing will be worse than 21st century breakdown. just awful.

I don't see why all the hate for Neighborhoods - I love it. And agree with this statement.

heartsdivided 11/05/12 03:21 PM

sounds a little like a Cat Stevens melody.

Sure it is. The last 3 GD albums (21, UNO, Dos) are unlistenable. I cannot make it through any of them front to back. That's not good.

Didn't know people don't like 21CB. I thought all in all it was pretty solid.

well let's get out the fact that none of the records in question are quality releases, so there's not much to weigh one against the other. however, I can listen to Uno and Dos without getting bored. maybe I'll get annoyed, but not bored. Neighborhoods is straight boring.

ShayDe 11/05/12 03:42 PM

not bad

THIS. what in the holy fuck. I haz a major confuse

Kris_Gontz9 11/05/12 04:36 PM

people praising Stay The Night? God, it was awful...

I still think 21st is solid, maybe a bit too long but it really delivers... As someone pointed out, gimme that over Neighborhoods any day. That was boring and production wise it lacked a lot of energy in the mixes....

meh, still Uno is shitty and now my hope for dos is slowly disappearing...

JoeForPresident 11/05/12 04:40 PM

THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT!

tdlyon 11/05/12 04:43 PM

Ok, I'm about to give up on this fucking site. You people will bitch about literally ANYTHING Green Day does now, just because they're not remaking Dookie. Get this right now: THEY WILL NEVER REMAKE THAT ALBUM. THEY HAVE EVOLVED WAY PAST THAT SOUND AT THIS POINT. Uno was great, and listening to the leak of Dos, it's at least ten times better than Uno. This band has never made a completely awful album, and probably never will unless their sound changes drastically.

Okay, rant over.

evanmeindl 11/05/12 05:01 PM

This sounds great. Haven't listened to Dos, but all the songs minus that one awful one sounded great too.

Agreed, but in a less shouty format. Felt like Uno is really easy to listen to. Love what i've heard of Dos. Loved American Idiot and 21, every album before and after Dookie has been great in its own way.

Agree with all of this, they have never put out a bad album in my opinion, though Uno is probably their weakest. I probably come across like a desperate apologist but if a Green Day album deserved to be panned I'd accept that. It frustrates me when PunkNews and other sites which are especially critical of pop-punk are praiseworthy of the new albums, and fucking All Time Low fans on here claim they're shit.

spokenword 11/05/12 07:05 PM

Green Day hasn't been good in a long, long time. Everything they've been putting out lately has been total shit.

Joey-Wan Kenobi 11/05/12 08:15 PM

If this entire song is as consistent as these 59 seconds, I think this will be good as hell.

it's easy to make it through an album:

1. Turn it on.
2. Don't turn it off.

I hope so. From the songs I've heard around the net (99 revolutions, 8th avenue serenade and this clip) sounds pretty promising. and if the rest of the album is very good, I could really get into The Forgotten.

Nimrod95 11/06/12 03:58 AM

quite ok, nothing great, sadly seems to be some kind of a filler.
