I don't know if anyone has seen this anime film or not. I just finished watching it and it's insanely depressing but a really great story as well. The best place to see it is online due to it's blu ray pricing being $90.

Has anyone seen this film and enjoyed it as well?

It was never officially released on blu-ray, sooooo

I've only seen the first part. Just now looking it up, I realized it has 3 parts and the current blu ray copy I have has all 3, so I guess I have some watching to do, haha. Really love the first part a lot.

Beautiful film. One of my favourite animated movies. The first 2 parts are just sublime, and my opinion frequently changes on the third section. Sometimes I feel like they just ran out of steam and got lazy, other times, I think it's the most fitting finale.

What'd you think of this? I thought it was boring.

Not my kind of story by any means. I'd rather watch Mushi-shi. lol

I've kept hearing good things about this, so now I'm finally downloading it and will hopefully watch it very soon. been on a crazy anime kick lately though, so I have a few more things to watch before I get to it. unless any of you can vouch for it being incredible enough to bump up on my list.

It depends what sort of anime you're into. I'm into more "real life" stories and tragic ones. So that really caused me to check this one out. It's really short too (1 hour - 2 mins). The animation is highly impressive and greatly detailed. If that helps at all.

I absolutely love this anime. I really want to watch it again, since it's been a while since I've seen it, though.

I really enjoyed it. It's beautifully drawn and I loved the way they told the story.
If you liked this one I highly recommend The Place Promised in Our Early Days, it's by the same director.
