ABSOLUTExclusive: Major League Album Premiere

Major League's No Sleep Records debut doesn't hit retailers until November 13th, but we're bringing an exclusive stream of Hard Feelings a few days early. The New Jersey quintet's debut features ten high-energy pop-punk tracks that fans of the genre will love. You can stream Hard Feelings over that band's profile and you can pre-order it here.

MrDelux 11/08/12 12:16 PM

Sounds great!

That guitar lick on the first song has both of my legs tapping.

Coverbydesign 11/08/12 12:26 PM

This just makes want my pre order even more

ViTOP 11/08/12 12:40 PM

Love me some Major League !!

STOKED for this bands future.

RabidNewz 11/08/12 12:54 PM

Will definitely have to check this out later.

Archael 11/08/12 01:02 PM

ugh

avarice14 11/08/12 01:13 PM

Not bad, not quite un-generic though. A step up from any of their previous stuff, but I'm not totally engaged.

GetUpAndrew 11/08/12 01:19 PM

This band has improved a lot over the past two years. Such a good record.

HeadUpKid 11/08/12 01:33 PM

Awesome! I've been waiting for new music from them for forever! NJ Pop Punk rules.

Mario57 11/08/12 01:43 PM

first song sounds familiar, will listen to the rest later

guitarguy211 11/08/12 02:11 PM

I'll need to check this out later. What bands in the scene would you compare it to?

Slangster 11/08/12 02:25 PM

This is so 'meh' to me. Not terrible, but I feel like i've heard this album done (and done better) many times before.

Christian Wagner 11/08/12 02:59 PM

So so good. Love the Giants At Large call out!

Explanation? I don't understand.

emoboy333 11/08/12 03:30 PM

It's not bad but nothing to write home about. Generic pop-punk done better by a lot of bands. It's weird they got signed to No Sleep.

Everyone should check out Real Friends, they are going to be huge (well, at least they deserve to).

DylanPPPP 11/08/12 03:59 PM

Haven't listened. Better or worse than shitty Handguns?

fireandice31 11/08/12 04:13 PM

Album is good. Really Enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking here, though. Just...good.

No no they will be huge and they are playing with Major League this month

I love how people on here think that records by bands like Major League and I call Fives need to be un-generic or ground breaking. It is was it is people, good catchy music...

I don't think anyone is asking bands of this style to be groundbreaking per se, but some of them sound like they don't even know what a pickaxe is.

YOUAREtehSCENE 11/08/12 05:10 PM

I pref I Call Fives, than Giants At Large / Real Friends. and Major League, i can't get enough of ICF's new disc.. I tried to get into there oldier stuff and I can't.

DemBitties 11/08/12 05:23 PM

Really excited for the record release show on December 22nd at the Freehold VFW.

This is the biggest show I've ever booked, so all you kids in the area better come down and up the punx with us. ;D

They quote GAL's "Timebomb" in "Arrows Crossed."

xBranx 11/08/12 06:15 PM

Pumped on this. Can't wait to listen when I can get to a computer. This band works so hard. Glad to see they're getting more recognition.

Fourchordwonder 11/08/12 06:21 PM

I enjoyed this quite a bit. More than I expected to, actually. I will most likely order it soon.

Avalanche1 11/08/12 06:36 PM

Digging this

zippoX41 11/08/12 06:50 PM

One of the hardest working bands out there. They deserve every bit of success they get.

I'm not getting the mining reference...

The release is solid, they put there hearts into it, and what they do, they do well. I'm glad there aren't any progrock 7 minutes solos, good job guys.

kidinthebushes 11/08/12 07:15 PM

I file these guys along with State Champs, A Loss For Words and a handful of other pop punk bands I just can't seem to get into.

The single "Doubt" is really solid. Reminds me of a young The Early November.

Why would there be a progrock seven minute solo?

What a weird comment.

skopfle 11/08/12 09:05 PM

Randomly came across the drummer calling out all of AP.net today on Facebook. Don't know if it was a joke or not, just interesting to see this on here shortly afterwards. Either way, great album.

rushour144 11/08/12 10:00 PM

I preordered the CD/vinyl package without hearing much from this band. I heard like a song from the EP, but after hearing this, I say it was a very good impulse buy!!!

Right there with you, though I'd also throw in I Call Fives and Real Friends.

I like a handful of songs from ICF but I didn't care for their new full length.

I need to check out Real Friends.

johnnyferris 11/08/12 10:09 PM

I like it.

Just can't get into either. Maybe I just don't care much for this genre as much as I used to.

Also add in Handguns and Stickup Kid.

Can't get into stickup kid? Dang. For me they're one of the biggest standouts in all these upcoming bands. Might just be me, idk.

I could be wrong but it sounds like Matt actually did the vocals for that part too.

guitarguy211 11/09/12 12:14 PM

I like this. Not quite as much as some other pop-punk albums of the last few years, but it's very good.

beauvais910 11/09/12 04:55 PM

Saw this band grow up glad to see they are getting better with each release.

brandon_260 11/09/12 07:42 PM

Did not like this band in the slightest before this album, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

nickthehick2 11/11/12 02:06 PM

Pretty generic, but good. I Call Five's album is one of my top 10s for the year. It's so damn catchy.

I would put this right there with Handguns, I don't find them as bad as everyone says.
