What happened to finding a new vocalist?

This. My tickets to the Satellite show were completely wasted.

I figured this would happen

Ouch. :-(

Not sure where the "saw this coming" remarks are... coming from, though.

Well, Tym's voice was very destinctive when it came to Daytrader. Would have been hard to replace a great vocalist.

Band will be missed.

Mike should get back together with John and make more music like The Motorcycle Industry. At least that's what I wish would happen as a result of this.

Cancelled tour dates and the loss of a vocalist for a band that struggles to headline above local bands can be pretty tough. They had the talent, but circumstances pointed to a break up.

Damn, thats a shame. I really liked Twelve Years.

Jaytothesyg 11/09/12 10:33 PM

Really big bummer but definitely expected

What does the label have to do with any of this ?

It just kinda seemed like for a while bands would sign to Rise and then break up shortly after. Or am I thinking of another label?

Ditto...even though it was inevitable, still sucks

I'm pretty sure it is Rise Records

Twelve Years, MDAM's Everything You Ever Loved, and I The Mighty's Karma Never Sleeps made up my Summer 2012 playlist. All those memories are killing me right now, fuck.

rushour144 11/09/12 11:33 PM

HUH?!?!?! This I did not see coming. Twelve Years was so strong, but felt they were just getting their feet off the ground!
