I've been able to find the vast majority of this stuff, but it will definitely be nice to have this in a "professional" format, re-mastered, etc.

Some of these earlier tracks are what led to me falling in love with the band in the first place ("A Boston Peace", "All This Fashion"). Really excited about seeing the essays.

Formatfun 11/09/12 04:15 PM

Remastered? I have most of the originals... hmm.

Thanks.

Now I'm super stoked to pick this up. Wish I could be a vinyl head like all you's, but I've already invested so much money into cds haha.

nowFace 11/09/12 04:38 PM

Where is Anti Anti from?

mycuban 11/09/12 04:41 PM

There's a few in there i don't have, excited for the new one's i haven't heard.

buddah knome 11/09/12 04:41 PM

Haha for some reason max blocked me on twitter and I in all honesty don't know why. The bastard can still have my money.

BigAl 11/09/12 04:47 PM

So excited for this!

Chris Fallon 11/09/12 05:29 PM

A remastered copy is perfect. A good portion of these songs are gems and highlights of Max's songwriting prowess. He had such a dark sense of humor and was chockful of piss & vinegar.

dorfmac 11/09/12 05:30 PM

Already have all of these songs, but they are good enough to buy to own twice. I'd venture to say that 75% of these songs are better than some of the stuff he's come out with recently. Obviously, just a matter of taste, but I love these jams.

therookielot 11/09/12 06:21 PM

ahahahah Max's choker.

Also, I already got all of these songs off of Soulseek

Siren 11/09/12 06:29 PM

I need this.

Trevor Sostarich 11/09/12 06:35 PM

I'm really excited for this. I do hope there is a vinyl release for Baseball at least.

Some of it is obviously not THAT great, but some of it is truly some of the best music he's ever written. Manora/Majora is great and some of the dorm room demos are so freaking good (a Boston peace). I wish the For Sale EP was on here though, those songs are SO good.

yourbiggestflan 11/09/12 07:42 PM

love the artwork. never listened to anything before is a real boy, but interested to check it out if i have some time.

nowFace 11/09/12 07:45 PM

ben mears 11/09/12 08:05 PM

like everybody has said, the recordings aren't that great. but, i got mine from somebody who probably got it off limewire or whatever back in the day, so the quality is probably shit. i'm sure the quality on the cd will be much much better.

very pumped. and the album art is fucking awesome. love that there is an old-school pic of max rocking hard.

Yeah the official site forums had a thread where people collected all the songs. I remember different times when they'd randomly find a new stash of songs. There is a lot of awesome songs in here. Lots or good stuff, some okay stuff. I definitely agree Slumming it with Johnny should be on this.

No? okay

JayDanielHammer 11/09/12 11:57 PM

I have all these songs

GetUpAndrew 11/10/12 12:57 AM

Wow, sounds totally cool, can't wait to pick it up.

zbrmike79 11/10/12 03:23 AM

Great Awakening is the best song Max ever wrote.

STD already has a collection of older material, although I wouldn't mind having all the b-sides since then. And Through Being Cool repress is an excellent idea.

The original Through Being Cool pressing was on blue vinyl and 3 years or so later when STD had released Stay What You Are Equal Vision repressed Through Being Cool and Can't Slow Down on white and red respectively to 300 each. It's been repressed already and don't think it will happen again. I own them all :)

2 small pressings of a much beloved album isn't a lot. They could definitely sell another pressing, especially with the current popularity of vinyl. Maybe Enjoy the Ride will do it.

Those songs we're on the For Sale demo, which apparently is not being included in this package (Probably because doghouse would have something to do with is, seeing as it includes Belt, Woe, and Alive) It would still be cool to see We Will Erase, and Slumming it re-released though. Such good songs.

It's from an instrumental that max recorded in his "First ever recording session", and apparently added lyrics to it recently. Should be good!

Matt Chylak 11/10/12 06:21 AM

more excited for the essays than the music, seeing as I already have 90% of it in some unmastered form.

Metal Now 11/10/12 06:42 AM

I thought I had everything but there are 2 songs here that I don't. Consigliore and Anti-Anti... Don't listen to much SA anymore but I'm interested in hearing these songs remastered and the 2 I haven't yet heard.

JustinDM 11/10/12 10:33 AM

No "We will erase all life on earth but us" or "Slumming it with Johnny?" Those are pretty rare...

Yeah, it's very possible they bought those recordings and then did nothing with them, But it seems like a waste really. It seems like Slummin' and Will Erase would be perfect on the third disc with various rarities.

qwerty22 11/10/12 01:38 PM

Gotta love that BC Rich. Max at age ~17 must have had a sense of humor. Not that he doesn't now.

VanMastaIteHab 11/10/12 02:06 PM

So buying this. What an awesome set for any fan.

jmac3444 11/10/12 02:16 PM

Max said on twitter that this is just pre...IARB stuff so that is why Slumming it With Johnny, We Will Erase all life on earth and Fleeting Illness are not included in this package

mka12992 11/10/12 04:40 PM

He also said that if the demand is there, a vinyl release is a possibility.

well worth it.... lyrically they innovatively paved a way for themselves into the spotlight

MyJukeboxBroke 11/10/12 08:10 PM

Cool

Chris Collum 11/10/12 09:18 PM

Hm, interesting I'll have to give this a shot for sure. Definitely won't be worse than their last album haha.

atarisaveskids 11/10/12 09:24 PM

This should also include: All Choked Up, But A Fleeting Illness, and Slumming It With Johnny.

Besides that this is damn awesome and nice to have as one big collection. I have this all already, but it's still worth getting and would make my girlfriend happy as well.

CavanaughPark 11/10/12 10:01 PM

best news all week.

I was going to add, I would have loved to see All Choked Up on this, one of my favorite tracks. Slumming It would have been cool along with We Will Erase All Life on Earth but us, but triple discs...I'm not complaining haha.
