That's a pretty weird tour.

Dustin Harkins 11/12/12 01:01 PM

Val Kilmer at Fun Fun Fun Fest is now no longer the weirdest thing I've seen in 2012.

Jack Appleby 11/12/12 01:01 PM

P!nk actually has sang with C&C a few times, and sounded great. So there is some relationship there, but whoda thunk it would ever turn into a tour.

anamericangod 11/12/12 01:01 PM

Not weird at all. They've been friends for a while.

Mayday Parade are friends with Bring Me The Horizon. That tour would still be weird.

This is awesome

deanster321 11/12/12 01:06 PM

Either way, she/whoever books her opening acts evidently has good taste.

Joey-Wan Kenobi 11/12/12 01:25 PM

UHM. yes.

Missed the Hives last summer, and even though C&C honestly bored me (albeit, they sounded FANTASTIC) I wouldn't mind catching this tour.

incognitojones 11/12/12 01:26 PM

Hives I get, but City and Colour seem a little chill to open a show this big and I'm assuming rowdy. Guess only a few dates can't hurt to try.

emmx8D 11/12/12 01:29 PM

what

city and colour is playing the staples center. that's gonna blow my mind. congrats to him on such a big opportunity

zbrmike79 11/12/12 01:29 PM

i read that as "Colour Revolt" in passing and was very, very confused.

be mine 11/12/12 01:32 PM

Do you guys remember that in 2001 when Full Collapse came out Thursday turned down a tour opening for Pink. I always wondered why she never took cool bands on our with her after I heard that. Now I guess she is.

Phil507 11/12/12 01:33 PM

Wish The Hives and City & Colour would tour together so I could not have to see Pink. Well, not that I'll be going to this any way but, still...

anthonydarko 11/12/12 01:44 PM

Totally would go see this if it came to my neck of the woods.

brandon_260 11/12/12 02:01 PM

Kids are getting so worked up on his Facebook page. Pretty funny.

I'd definitely see this.

Ferrari333SP 11/12/12 02:01 PM

I think I may seriously go to the St. Paul show, solely to see City and Colour sing, and then just leave.

brook183 11/12/12 02:09 PM

I hope this makes C & C as popular in America as they should be.

mackieinva 11/12/12 02:11 PM

amazing exposure, love c&c, good for him.

Why? You already paid for the show, stay, she might be better than you expect. Even if she's terrible, it's an interesting story at the very least.

Hahahaha Jesus, and when I read your post, I don't know why, I was thinking he was dressed up in costume as Batman for some reason.

I can't decide if that would've made it more or less ridiculous hahahaha

SuNDaYSTaR 11/12/12 02:42 PM

Didn't Dallas open for P!nk a couple years ago for the European leg of her tour or something?

It was so priceless. Adam and his friends and I were just standing there like "Wait...what?" and cracking up the whole time.

Djentleman 11/12/12 02:50 PM

Dallas wtf are you doing?! stahp!

but seriously he's way too good to be opening for this awful pop garbage

tomtom94 11/12/12 02:52 PM

I think Hives/Pink is a weirder combination tbh, but this could be good exposure for Dallas.

NewAgeofHorus 11/12/12 03:00 PM

Definitely going to the Charlotte date. I have yet to see city and colour

You will be blown away; it seems the bigger the venue, the bigger his voice sounds. No trouble at all getting his voice to the back of an arena.

I only have 2 concerns.

1. Small set
2. Expensive tickets

but nonetheless I have to see this man live.

Was going to say the SAME thing.. I'm pretty sure this has happened before with Dallas and Pink... Not surprised

I'm a huge Dallas Green fan, one of my most favorable and inspirational artists I've ever listened to. I'm amazed I never found this out until now. I just worry that Dallas' music won't be enjoyed by the the people going to see Pink, seeing as how they play very different styles of music. But with that being said, this is the biggest tour of his life. At least US wise.

iAMhollyood315 11/12/12 03:52 PM

Dallas just wants the prestige of playing huge venues like MSG. hell id do any tour for that chance.

This brings up an interesting discussion: at what point does playing to sheer numbers outweigh playing to your target demographic?

C&C is music that most will find enjoyable - while people looking to "Get The Party Started" may not be at the show to hear mellow tunes, C&C is very accessible to the masses. The prestige of the venues, size of the audience, and the pay day will all likely work in the band's favor.

blimpcityhero11 11/12/12 04:31 PM

Eh... Good for the exposure at least? Odd pairings to say the least.

bobsheiskawy 11/12/12 04:48 PM

p!nk/fun. tour will happen in the future and it will be great.

i would go to this if given the chance. p!nk's new album isn't bad and everything city & colour does is incredible.

Alex DiVincenzo 11/12/12 04:52 PM

This could be cool

designerbandaid 11/12/12 05:00 PM

kill me. actually kill pink

Any smart musician would take a tour with pink, friends or not. I too feel his music is accessible to any and all. I just would be interested in how his mellow and very intimate performances work in a place like the Wells Fargo center packed full of talking drunks who don't care to listen to sad songs when they're trying to have a good one. Ya know?

I'd still go to this though regardless. I got the hots for Pink. No pun intended.

worse than ke$ha, just as bad as lady gaga
annoying & immature like all time blow

tinylilnative 11/12/12 05:41 PM

This is even more out there than that Panic! at the Disco/Dresden Dolls/Hush Sound tour back when P! was a pop punk band.

blindrider529 11/12/12 05:44 PM

haha that is SO weird.

On a side note: never really got into The Hives when they were more popular, but won free tickets to their show a few months back and it was AWESOME.
