There's really a band called "Mayday Radio". Wow! I wonder if they like Jason Lancaster at all? I'm sure you can come up with something more creative then Mayday Radio...

Bnash577 11/13/12 06:11 AM

Probably better than the name "Go Parade".

TheRealJohnOC 11/13/12 08:04 AM

Deftones/Green Day and Soundgarden all in one day? Wow!

WeltallAY 11/13/12 08:06 AM

Preordered Issues a ways back, wish I wouldn't have now after hearing it. Also preordered new Deftones but had to cancel to save money for the holidays.

luvsickcatalyst 11/13/12 08:07 AM

My radio station just put out an acoustic compilation benefiting a local venue that recently got shut down. Max Bemis, Nightmare of You, Abandoned Pools, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, and a bunch of others are on it. And it's only $4. Here's a link.

when is dubstep and metalcore going to get a divorce. seriously lol.

Also I don't care how long the deftones have been around and how "influential" they are they sound like radio butt rock. I honestly couldn't listen to more than 1 min out of 3 songs on this new record and i can tolerate a lot. its terrible.

coreysetfail 11/13/12 09:01 AM

Going in town right now to go pick up The Weeknd Trilogy.

...you like The Higher.

ChaseTx 11/13/12 09:04 AM

I'm a week late on this, but E-40 and Too Short put out two collaborative albums.

That sounds absolutely terrible.

waybackhome 11/13/12 09:07 AM

The Pentimento record WILL be out today, at 1pm EST. You can pick it up at www.pentimentoNY.com

LMAO, going through a band list in a profile last updated in 2004 is a sad attempt at taking a shot. nice try though.

Is this just the new material or do you not like them in general?

Jako 11/13/12 09:31 AM

Lana Del Rey's Paradise EP is out today as well.

Cpt. Geech 11/13/12 09:37 AM

Deftones new record is unreal.

Simulcast 11/13/12 10:37 AM

Deftones

A phenomenal record and a great entry point if you are new to the band.

Listening to it right now. I used to HATE her but I gave her another chance and I really like what I hear! This new song of hers is great;

Jay Evan 11/13/12 01:08 PM

Maker released a Self Titled EP today

ksmitty1223 11/13/12 01:29 PM

CITIES AVIV

Xiegfried 11/13/12 01:47 PM

Picked up Green Day and I'm pretty disappointed with it so far. I enjoyed ¡Uno! quite a bit, but ¡Dos! just doesn't do it for me so far. I'll have to listen more, I guess.

John_Barnes 11/13/12 02:01 PM

Got new Lana and "new" Weeknd today.

I can understand someone not liking them but "radio butt rock?" I've never heard anyone even begin to denigrate them that way. There's so much to their sound that it's quite an insult to hurl one of the few consistently creative bands out there into that pile.

This. Seriously Deftones is like the most original sounding band right now that actually somewhat sells big. How anyone could say they are just "radio butt rock" is beyond me.

I don't mean to lower them to the standards of 3 doors down, seether and the like but the chord transitions and melodies just IMO not appealing. I get it, they were pioneers of a sound and were around for quite some time allowing bands in our genre to exist them having paved the ground, but it just has this alt-rock feel I just can't get into for the life of me. I don't really know how to describe it its just unaplealing to my ears.

guitarguy211 11/13/12 05:49 PM

Major League was enjoyable.

I've heard really good things about From Indian Lakes, what would be a RIYL for them?

EmoErk 11/13/12 05:57 PM

major league is amazing

How can you "hate" this woman? Blue Jeans and especially Video Games are nothing short of great songs. + she's sexy as fuck.

claw38 11/13/12 07:02 PM

New Deftones and Crystal Castles for sure.
Major League if I can afford it.
Already have all 3 of The Weeknd's EPs, all are fantastic.
This thread turned me on to From Indian Lakes, grabbing them if I can too.

Totally understandable, dude. It was just that comparison that really got me to raise an eyebrow.

skrillzzz1109 11/13/12 08:15 PM

Deftones of course. G-damn Gauze is niiice.

Sad to see only one mention of Gifts From Enola. Album takes a few listens but dammit it's reaally reaally good. Gets better with each listen.

Exactly, I was just extremely wrong in my first impressions were WAY off. I loved Blue Jeans and the song I posted enough to nab her Paradise edition of Born To Die off Amazon today.

leftapart 11/13/12 10:39 PM

From Indian Lakes!!!!!!! Woooooeeeeee!!!

transcend 11/14/12 09:28 AM

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but our lost infantry is fantastic.
