Crown The Empire Post Part 1 of New Video

You can watch part 1 of Crown The Empire' extended music video for “Oh Catastrophe” in the replies (part 2 will be debuting soon). The band’s Rise Records debut The Fallout hits retailers on November 20.

The song reminds me of the intro to Fun.'s Some Nights. Not as good as Fun., but still much better than the majority of the genre.

seymourbuttes 11/14/12 02:34 PM

This is so fucking g--

MXP 11/14/12 03:12 PM

Oooh potential letdown of a climax. Sounded like something Alesana wishes they could've wrote.

Handraa 11/14/12 03:39 PM

.....Still a better love story than Twilight.

Crimson_Curse 11/14/12 04:18 PM

Catastrophe is right.

Beej 347 11/14/12 05:03 PM

Their debut album is suprisingly pretty solid and listenable

SteveD 11/14/12 05:21 PM

Sounds like a fun. rip off......

guitarguy211 11/14/12 06:58 PM

Panic At The Disco meets Alesana? Sounds interesting to me...plus the other song from the album they released was surprisingly solid.

Anyone heard the full album and have an opinion on it?

nick_smizzle 11/14/12 07:32 PM

the debut album is amazing, been listening for the past two days

blackmold 11/14/12 08:49 PM

Holy shit, the beginning is a total fun. rip off.

yeah. fun. is the first band to have a slow, piano-based marching buildup. are you 14?

Not just that. The way he sings the lyrics here is exactly like "some nights (intro)" by fun.

The vocal pattern is clearly a Some Mights intro ripoff.

My thoughts exactly

Eh nothing special, Makeshift Chemistry is catchy as hell though

ChaseThisLight 11/15/12 10:42 AM

Soooo.... The into sounds NOTHING like Fun. let alone "Some Nights". Where the hell are you tards getting this from? Have you even heard "Some Nights" (AKA The Lion King song)?

This sounds more "Panic at the Disco" and "My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade".

I dig it for sure. In a genre that genuinely lacks creativity, this is pretty good. I like what I hear so far and anticipate hearing more.

This. Album should be pretty good. EP was a little too simple instrumentally but still enjoyable. I will say that the spoken dialogue scenes with the couple were awful and uncomfortable though.

EastCoastVans 11/15/12 02:37 PM

Nearly the same vocal melody in the beginning as Some Nights Intro, I wasn't expecting it to be that close of a comparison.

StepBackLetGo 11/15/12 06:02 PM

Holy crap. I'm actually genuinely interested in seeing where this goes.

Part Two of the video was pretty good. Their new album is actually pretty good, much much better then the new Woe, Is Me album for sure.
