New Wale Mixtape Releasing on Christmas Eve

Wale will be releasing a new mixtape titled Folarin on December 24th, 2012. You can download a new track from the tape, titled "Freedom of Speech," here.

Thank God.

Gaugzilla 11/14/12 02:36 PM

Dig it.

incognitojones 11/14/12 02:39 PM

I feel some next level shit coming from Wale soon.

ChaseTx 11/14/12 02:48 PM

Interestingly, I haven't listened to a Wale CD since 100 Miles & Running five years ago. Loved that disc, but what I've heard of his commercial stuff didn't have the same appeal. I'll check this out though.

I am loving this.

Drew Beringer 11/14/12 03:08 PM

I love More About Nothing from front to back, go check that out NOW.

This song is fire. Really looking forward to this.

Star Slight 11/14/12 03:43 PM

Cool, but he's awful on any MMG shit. Go back to your roots you sellout

Matt Chylak 11/14/12 04:32 PM

I won't mind if this becomes a pattern: he releases his old style on mixtapes and MMG bangers on his albums.

I'm hoping for an album that is like 60% his old sound, 30% bangers, and 10% soft shit for the ladies. Pretty realistic I think. Altho ideally he would release a cohesive album in his old style fully, then a joint mixtape with Meek Mill with a bunch of Waka features that would be all ridiculous bangers.

Dustin Harkins 11/14/12 05:19 PM

Hmmmm, what's the deal with this rap stuff?

Ah! More About Nothing is the jam.

Star Slight 11/14/12 06:55 PM

Wale isnt a banger rapper though. He sounds awkward as shit on MMG stuff

did you even listen to this track?

just sayin', you're telling him to go back to his roots and this sounds closer to Mixtape About Nothing shit than anything on Ambition or Eleven One Eleven Theory

Depends on what you call a "banger," but it sure isn't some typical MMG Lex Luger style shit. Anyway, it was half a reply to this post too, didn't want to quote both.

This is the most old-school Wale track he's released in a while, no need to tell him to go back to his roots listening to this track.

I fucking hope so

Mixtape About Nothing is the best thing he'll ever do...but that thing is classic.

suicidesaints 11/26/12 07:29 AM

I think Wale has a pretty solid collection of tracks. I even liked a good portion of "Ambition" but I still think the song he did on Currensy's "Stone Immaculate" was one of his best verses
