Also surprised Bob Dylan isn't worth more.

So wait...Travis is worth more than Mark & Tom? That drummer list had him at $85 million.

That's what surprised me. I guess all his side projects pay off.

Most recently, I've seen Paramore headline:

2012: Terminal 5 (3500 capacity, not sold out)
2011: Penn's Landing (10,000 capacity, not sold out)
2009: Hammerstein (4000 capacity, sold out)
2008: Convention Hall (4000 capacity, sold out)
2007: Starland (2500 capacity, sold out)
2007: Knitting Factory (400 capacity, sold out)

I've seen them a few times in other capacities like festivals, but those are their four most recent US headline tours.

They make a LOT more money overseas playing to thousands (and sometimes tens of thousands), and Hayley also makes a good amount independent of what the band makes. She's also probably a lot smarter with her money than a lot of other acts.

Nope, I think i'd be interesting to include all vocalists, rather than making a distinction (that isn't always clear cut) between singers and rappers.

ChaseTx 11/16/12 11:43 AM

Most big name rappers aren't that well off. The ones that are have a hand in a bunch of other business.

Just off the top of my head, Jay-Z is worth 450 million and P.Diddy is worth 550 million, that'd put them in the upper echelon of wealthy musicians.

Why is this even being brought up ^

Just for the sake of argument?

I'd be willing to bet they made the vast majority of their wealth pre-reunion.

If anything, the biggest sign validating your statement is that Scott Stapp is apparently worth $30 million.

Pretty much, ha. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. Like I said, I think i'd be interesting to include all vocalists, rather than making a distinction (that isn't always clear cut) between singers and rappers.

No big deal though.

Don't they always exaggerate these numbers? regardless, making more than a mil is still ballin.
