'Ideas Above Our Station' getting re-released LP for 10th Anniversary
To celebrate 10 years since Ideas Above Our Station being released there will be a limited edition 3LP pressing made available in January 2013.
It was originally released on 20th May 2002 on Columbia Records and Sony Records. It reached #6 in the charts and went on to sell 250,000 copies. Singles reached #19, #15 and #38 in the charts. At the time the album won Kerrang "Best Album" award in 2002 and finished #2 in the magazines best album poll (behind QOTSA), as well as finishing in the top 10 of two other 2002 magazine lists. In 2012 it was inducted into Rock Sounds Hall of Fame. The song "I'll Find You" was also featured in the book "Q's 1001 Best Songs Ever". The band got back together to play a few special shows but they have all now been sold out. The 3LP's will consist of 33 tracks, mainly the album and extra tracks that the band recorded at the time but were never released, as well as two demos. The package also features a CD. Strictly limited to 250 COPIES ONLY. Already 100 have gone. PRE-ORDER HERE I've just bought my copy :) but I thought I would give a heads up to anyone who doesn't know about this.  |
This album rules. Reminds me of a mixture of Far and Box Car Racer.
