I'd Be Down For +44 To Return

+44 may still exist "someday in the future."

juice182 11/19/12 11:35 AM

BLINK IS BREAKING UP.

Crackbaby 11/19/12 11:37 AM

This is a very very very vague "news" post.

But it made me feel good, so thank you!

woohoo! 11/19/12 11:37 AM

would be cool to get an EP or anything with the girl that was originally in the band on vocals for a few songs.

ablueskytragedy 11/19/12 11:38 AM

Alright I'm usually pretty lax with what I consider a news post but this just fucking isn't news

YEP

irthesteve 11/19/12 11:39 AM

not a very good band.

Ryan Gardner 11/19/12 11:43 AM

I would love another +44 record. WYHSB is by far one of my favorite Blink-related records

Alex DiVincenzo 11/19/12 11:43 AM

Good news

s2h72 11/19/12 11:45 AM

would rather see new +44 then new blink

pantsandjacket 11/19/12 11:47 AM

"Fighting The Gravity" reminds me of "Weatherman" a lot. I would love another +44 record and its obvious that Mark is still into doing that kind of electronically influenced stuff.

bradsonemanband 11/19/12 11:52 AM

i'd hesitantly listen to a new +44 album/EP, like how i do with every AVA album.

TorontoMatt 11/19/12 11:53 AM

i'll make up my mind if i really want this once i hear the blink ep

JayDanielHammer 11/19/12 11:54 AM

Where is more Box Car Racer? That album ruled

MH and hearts all gone couldve both been plus songs

cowlord 11/19/12 11:55 AM

I liked +44. I certainly wouldn't complain about new songs.

Stephin_DC 11/19/12 12:01 PM

I'd rather have a Box Car Racer record.
Mark was really disappointing on Neighborhoods.
His songs were some of the most generic on that record.

Feel basically the exact opposite.

seanwaits 11/19/12 12:04 PM

I'd be down for this! Liked it way better than everything AVA has put out.

I think his songs were far superior to Tom's. Toms were lazy and poorly written.

Drew Beringer 11/19/12 12:06 PM

+44's debut was so good

I'd rather have a Box Car Racer album, too. But we had that with the Untitled album.

But disagree on the Mark stuff, he at least brought something to Neighborhoods. Tom's felt like leftover AVA music.

JayDanielHammer 11/19/12 12:08 PM

Let's just all talk about the guy that was the drummer before Travis instead. He needs some pub.

15 Step 11/19/12 12:10 PM

this means 2 more blink albums, blink will officially call it quits, and THEN mark will do +44 IF he's not too old and/or basking in the millions of dollars he made in his life.

Djentleman 11/19/12 12:11 PM

+44 > a&a

Really .... Kaleidoscope I liked , but I thought MH was possibly the most generic Blink song I have heard since Cheshire Cat material, and Hearts all gone was just to outdated for me to really enjoy. As for Fighting the Gravity, I listened to it 3-5 times than deleted it.

I guess I just expected a lot more contribution since he hasn't written anything since +44's record which was what, released in 2006

tyler2tall147 11/19/12 12:13 PM

is +44 technically labelless now too?

hectorial85 11/19/12 12:15 PM

I'd love more +44. Some very solid songwriting on that LP. I think those songs have some of Mark's best lyrics.

LetterBomb31 11/19/12 12:16 PM

Loved their debut, so I really wouldn't mind seeing more songs from these guys.

jtresk26 11/19/12 12:17 PM

I love the atmosphere of When Your Heart Stops Beating. And lyrically, Mark just went all out for it. It's kind of weird how both When Your Heart Stops Beating and We Don't Need to Whisper are very atmospheric in their own rights. I hope he does go back to +44 someday.

icynova 11/19/12 12:18 PM

I really enjoyed +44 for what it was, and would not say no to more.

ChaseTx 11/19/12 12:18 PM

So no change whatsoever from what he's been saying. Haha.

But I'd be stoked. I listened to WYHSB last night, and it's so great. Honestly it's better than Neighborhoods, Enema, and BCR. Maybe Next time AVA puts out an album and tours it, (+44) will do the same.

Kuri44 11/19/12 12:18 PM

the 2 or 3 videos of mark recording new +44 stuff back in 07-08 sounded really cool.. Would love to hear those become full songs

heyzombiehitler 11/19/12 12:22 PM

just listened to this album the other day. its still pretty good. i would also say underrated.

Shinobi1791 11/19/12 12:22 PM

Was listening to WYHSB for the first time in a while the other day. Would really like another album one day.

_veges_ 11/19/12 12:23 PM

This would be awesome, I still love that album

That's a huge statement.

saywhatever 11/19/12 12:26 PM

This album was bad.

Hugely sincere. The only Blink family albums better than that one to me are s/t, Dude Ranch, and TOYPAJ.

Anthony Sorendino 11/19/12 12:33 PM

You could say "maybe someday in the future" about anything!

WhitefalconTLE 11/19/12 12:37 PM

yes please

buddah knome 11/19/12 12:42 PM

Didn't know people thought they broke up. He confirmed they were still around like a year ago on hoppus on music.

schlotty 11/19/12 12:43 PM

I feel like he's already said this a few times before.

Agreed! I was actually digging through the news archives this weekend and saw when AVA was initially announced and you commented that it would be better than +44... I chuckled. I guess no one really would have guessed at what AVA would actually sound like.

steve187 11/19/12 12:50 PM

I was much more of a Tom fanboy in 2005 than I was of Mark.

Ha I understand. Of course the funniest thing I found was Tom's visit to this site talking about how he was shitting our pants for us, then the subsequent insistence by everyone that it couldn't be him and he wouldn't say his band was the best music in 20 years, etc etc.

This.

Rysker6 11/19/12 01:38 PM

Pretty cool that he answered her, I'd scream like a girl if Mark responded to a tweet. But, I dug +44's record, before blink-182 reunited I was actually looking forward to their second record.
