Transit Recording With Ted Hutt
Transit begins tracking their second Rise Records full length with producer Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem) on Saturday at Maximum Sound Studios in Danvers, MA. Gary Cioffi will also be working with the band on the record.

FUCK YES
|
curious to hear if they'll change their sound again.
|
Awesome.
|
sweet jesus.
|
Nice.
|
I like Listen and Forgive, but I hope this one has the energy and pop-punk feel the older stuff had.

Listen and Forgive is awesome, I'd be interested to see how their next album goes.
|
Really interesting choice for a producer, I'm excited.
|
Beyond pumped! I still listen to listen and forgive regularly. Love this band.

Nice producer choice. Glad Gary is sticking around in some capacity. Very interested to hear which direction they take with this one. I am thinking it's going to be more aggressive based on what they have said in interviews about their sound, but I could be way off. Would not be surprised if they build on the Listen and Forgive sound either.

I have have pretty much the same sentiments as everyone else. Hoping for the conciseness of Listen and Forgive coupled with the rawness and punk energy of Keep This to Yourself. If that happens, I'm calling a possible AOTY contender for 2013.
|
Transhit is wicked slow for me, I couldn't get into their last disc, Why even call them pop punk, there wasn't anything poppy, on that last record, nor pop punk!?
Stoked there a boston band, and I few up in mass, but ehh this band is terrible. |
I usually like when bands "grow up", but This Will Not Define Us hit me at the perfect time in my life and I hope we get another one of those.
(I know that will not happen) |
I liked the direction of Listen & Forgive, but I thought there was a couple really bad songs on that record. Hopefully they can take the good from that record and improve upon it.

WANT IT NOW! |
This match up makes no sense to me. Look at Ted's discography. Where does Transit's sound fit in?
|
Quote:
Only mis-informed people call them pop-punk because their earlier albums were more pop-punk and they still get lumped into that scene. |

Who says they need to "fit in"? |
WOOOOOOOOOO! Day 1 for sure. Can't wait for another Listen and Forgive.
