His debut recently topped the UK charts, so that's gotta count for something.

I'm a fan. Even though my tastes are directed towards the punk rock/pop punk genre, it doesn't mean I don't like artists like Jake Bugg or bands such as Oasis or The Beatles.

'Lightning Bolt' is such an awesome tune.

Saw him play a gig third on the bill last year, now he's selling out venues 5x the size. He's from my city, which the council's very happy about - they even put up this huge poster celebrating his chart success on the town hall!

I have his debut album. One of the best I've heard all year I think he's something really special. He has potential to really tear apart the charts!

One of my favorite albums of the year, thoroughly deserves the success.

He truly does. It is such a beautiful album, feels like it was recorded in the '60s.

How does he sound live, did he and Noel play together at some point?

In terms of the way it sounds it sure does sound like it came from the 60s but the lyrics are way more relevant to modern times.

Yeah, that's a good thing. His sound is heavily influenced by Dylan but I'm glad he sings about the present.
I can't relate to him much though, he's had a hard life.

Most people his age do in this country, especially if your from the kind of background he is from.

Wow, I had no idea about life in England, just knew it was expensive as hell.

Very expensive, even something like public transport is priced at a stupid amount.

There's been quite a few bands coming out of the city over the years, but none as big as Jake (at least not for a very long time!) Dog is Dead are probably the only band who are even remotely comparable to his popularity. But there's been good smaller stuff like Amusement Parks on Fire, earthtone9, Brontide and Pitchshifter.

He sounds perfect live, I was really surprised by the fact that it's just him up there. But the crowd wasn't really feeling it since they didn't really know who he was. Psh, I wish Noel and Jake played together, still amazing though haha
