Scott Murphy (Allister) Release Two Albums on iTunes

Scott Murphy's (Allister) first full length original album, and his track for track cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller album now available on iTunes worldwide.

bradsonemanband 11/23/12 01:15 PM

haha he covered MJ's Thriller? how is that?

ACA 11/23/12 01:17 PM

This thread should turn into a list bands/artists who have covered other albums in their entirety, especially since I was just listening to Kevin Devine's take on Nevermind this morning.

ChaseTx 11/23/12 01:43 PM

Just give me the J-pop covers!

combatchuckaa 11/23/12 02:49 PM

Scott Murphy has released like 5 original albums in Japan before this. Do some research, yo.

This is directly from Scott. I used his exact phrasing, yo.

this is the first solo release that we can get in the US. his solo material from japan was quite catch even though i dont understand a damn word he says. glad to see scotty getting his stuff out there.

Yeah, he released a crap load of stuff in Japan but nothing over here. Balanced was originally released in 2009 in Japan but just now making it's way over here.

You can listen to the first song off the album 'What If' on bandcamp.

interesting to see Mr. Tate being a smart ass with users. Also interesting to see him in other threads voicing his displeasure with artists and such. free country i know, but being the head of the site just unusual to see. just my opinion

I'm not supposed to have an opinion just cause I created the forum? What a boring existence that would be.

Interested in hearing this. Especially if his original work was supposed to be the follow up to Before The Blackout. I always enjoy what Scott Murphy involves himself with.

Hate to break it to you, but the albums he did before "Balance" were all cover albums.
