Dear Mr Issac Brock....
 

I've decided to write a letter to Issac Brock based on how irate I am about Modest Mouse's lack of music. I feel like if we provide him with a comprehensive enough list of things that have happened since the last Modest Mouse release, he may see the error of his ways and realize how damn long it's been. So, anyone help out? We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank was released in 2007.

So far, we've got:

--The US elected its first black president
--The US re-elected its first black president
--Michael Jackson died
--Economic crises in the US, the EU, and other places
--The last Harry Potter book was released
--Earthquakes in China, Haiti and Japan
--Osama bin Laden killed
--Heath Ledger died
--Amy Winehouse died
--Robert Pollard has released TWENTY-THREE records: solo records, with Guided By Voices, and other.

Andrew WK has been appointed cultural ambassador to the Middle East.

on the other hand, his record is called "Glacial Pace".

They've been playing new songs on some of their recent tours. But yea, it has been a while.

As excited as I am for a solo Johnny Marr record next year, I kind of wish he was heavily involved in the new Modest Mouse work. I think the last album worked well together, & this time everything would have clicked even further... or maybe I just love Marr, & I'm more excited for his solo album, both projects might have stretched him a bit far... just rambling now haha.

yes, I agree. At least it's the best out of the 3 recent releases, imo, as I prefer the early stuff.

We're still in an ice age, so I assume he's waiting for the glaciers to retreat. A full glacial cycle can take ~10,000 years+.
