Should we Skype or not?
 

So I've been messaging back and forth with this girl on OKCupid the past few days...things are going good (at least in my eyes) and she seems great. Problem is she is studying abroad in England and wont come back til December 3. Should I just keep messaging her on OKC and then when she comes back ask her to hang out, or would it be too weird to ask her to chat on Skype at an agreed upon time (most likely text chat, but if she wanted to do video it'd be fine with me)

I'd say if you plan on meeting her in person, video Skype with her...just so you know she's who she says she is (the person in her photos).

I kind of feel, it would weird her out if I was like "hey, you wanna video chat on Skype"?

Then re-phrase it so it doesn't sound "weird." Say something like this, "We've been talking over messages for a while, and I'd like to try video chatting sometime if you're interested..." It probably would weird her out if she hadn't really got to know you. At least for me, if a guy I barely chatted with asks me to video chat, I wouldn't be down.

edit: Saw first post, and noticed you've only been chatting for a few days. Wait it out a little longer to video chat. But video chat before you meet up in person.

I think it would be good, at least get the awkward part over.

Only weird if you make it weird. She could also actually like that you were confident enough to ask a bold question.

I agree with this. What's her personality like? Does she seem bold? Also, make sure you have enough to talk about on skype so you don't end up with an awkward silence lol

Skype isn't a big deal, like at all. If you plan on meeting in person then Skype seems like a logical step.
