You, Me and Everyone We Know Post New EP

You, Me and Everyone We Know's three song EP is on bandcamp.

Searos 11/27/12 09:15 AM

Will get this one day.

ARo2431 11/27/12 09:25 AM

Definitely worth eight minutes of my time. Good stuff.

Tyler Dumont 11/27/12 09:27 AM

Good, though a little short.

LivingTheLyrics 11/27/12 09:30 AM

While the first track is the weakest, all three are great and Coming Up Short is probably one of my favorite songs of the year. That chorus.

j1887m 11/27/12 09:34 AM

Solid 3 songs looking forward to hearing more.

irthesteve 11/27/12 09:39 AM

solid EP, definitely still up to par in quality with before the rest of the band left.

TheGrimSleeper 11/27/12 09:43 AM

Really dig it, I love the references to other songs in A Great Big Hole. Those damned elephants!

kskillzz 11/27/12 10:03 AM

Think I'm gonna wait for the physical pressing to buy this.

Protested Hero 11/27/12 10:30 AM

This is great. Well worth the $3.

ched zeppelin 11/27/12 10:32 AM

soooooooooo good. So happy and new brighten today. double whammy.

brandon_260 11/27/12 10:32 AM

Really into it. Leans more towards Somethings Don't Wash Out than their last EP.

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't have anything to do with the music on the last EP except for writing Sad Bastard Music. I was off in another world by then. I think the title of that EP summed up that year or so of my life.

Were you happy with the way that EP turned out? I feel like any discussion/criticism of that EP was overlooked by the drama at the time, but it really was a pretty huge departure in style from the full length.

Frankly, I don't think the band delivered the caliber of music it should have to Topshelf Records. I don't want to get any ex-members fired up by pointing any fingers, but I think everything was done very last minute. I really wish I could make it up to topshelf somehow. I love what they are about and I really regret the way all that occured.

beauvais910 11/27/12 11:02 AM

Yes. Just yes.

Capulet 11/27/12 11:07 AM

awsome but so short

bladerdude360 11/27/12 11:07 AM

I'll have to listen to this when I get back from class. Not sure if I will buy this now or wait for the supposed physical release in the next few months. Either way, very excited for new tunes!

Capulet 11/27/12 11:08 AM

is it just the 1 guy

bladerdude360 11/27/12 11:25 AM

Can someone get Ben a blue name? It confuses me every time I see one of his posts haha.

pepster50 11/27/12 11:53 AM

Pretty good especially the third track ! Livin The Dream is what got me into your music. That song was a classic and "Coming Up Short" lives up to the same caliber. Keep writing !

bduke13 11/27/12 12:02 PM

Dig it. Want more.

Christian Otte 11/27/12 12:14 PM

Bought it without even listening to it first - these guys (well, now just this guy, I guess) have/has yet to let me down.

I like the way you think.

TSLataris 11/27/12 12:24 PM

Love track #2.

xkeiwcxiretx 11/27/12 12:24 PM

So good, sosososososososooo good. The reuse of past lyrics just kills me.

MyJukeboxBroke 11/27/12 01:06 PM

PunkLover123 11/27/12 01:36 PM

I've been listening to this EP on repeat and I don't think I'll be turning it off any time soon. So glad YMAEWK is back! Thank you so much for keeping on with the music. It's inspired me in so many ways and I haven't been able to stop smiling since I started listening.

Great work, glad to see you're forging ahead with YMAEWK. Keep it up, root beers on me next time you're in Florida, Ben.

BigAl 11/27/12 02:10 PM

Ben's vocal range and lyrical prowess is impressive. Well done, as always, sir!

Eva89 11/27/12 02:15 PM

This is awesome, i really hope Ben keeps making music for a long looong time.
Also hope this gets a physical release!!

xxtrappedsoul 11/27/12 03:30 PM

This is so good, Ben! I love it!! Thank you for keeping it going. Also, I love the references to past lyrics.

positiv-o 11/27/12 03:51 PM

I'm really digging this. So glad to hear that he's sober now. Hope that more music follows, and maybe even a tour next year.

mybreakingpoint 11/27/12 04:55 PM

These guys are sweet live; played with them in Flint a couple years ago. I've listened to all of their studio releases at least once, and I've got to say, I think this is my favorite so far. First song is fantastic.

DrewDooWop 11/27/12 05:05 PM

the lyrics are fantastic

JEM IV 11/27/12 06:47 PM

I met Ben in Vienna, Virginia at Jammin' Java on August 24, 2010, not too long before the full length album came out and he was just an incredible dude. I felt like we kind of bonded because I was like, "Dude, I'm 27 and I have been well past my days of asking to take a picture or getting autographs for years, but I genuinely am inspired by what you do" and he very awesomely replied, "Man, I'm 26 and I still feel the same way sometimes." I thought that was really rad of him to 1.) make me feel less like a groupie and 2.) he was willing to take a couple shots to get a good shot on my iPhone. Great dude, we all have our flaws, learn from them, move on, and with that said, I will continue to support him in his future endeavors, no question. Thanks brotha! In fact, I just went back and found the awesome pic, thanks again for your graciousness!
And for any skeptics or haters, I bought that round! LOL :)

Tap Dat App 11/27/12 07:30 PM

I have never really heard You, Me, and Everyone We Know until today, but I have read much about the lead singer's struggle in the past couple months and was excited to give this EP a try. Damn, this is exactly what I needed right now. The lyrics are right in place with where I'm at right now and makes me feel like I should get up and fix a lot of what is wrong. ~Thanks man

anthonypresswar 11/27/12 07:40 PM

Love it. Totally met my expectations for new music. Super stoked to hear more. Please keep doing this.

*dannyg* 11/27/12 07:45 PM

I'm stoked to not see any negative comments on here, & how many people are really into this! I've listened to the ep a few times already today, & can't wait for another tour!!!

about3fitty 11/27/12 07:51 PM

oh shit. just saw this. super excited to listen. really happy to see the positive responses in here.

edit: this is what i was looking forward to. now i just want more. good work, ben. so glad that you're back.

TheGrimSleeper 11/27/12 08:14 PM

Been playing this all day, and I still can't believe the notes he hits at the end of Coming Up Short. During the stream, I knew he was blowing his chords out, but god it sounds so good.

Gallagh3r 11/27/12 10:06 PM

Well, I made this account just to reply and stop lurking after a few years. Ben, this is everything I've expected from YMAEWK since I first saw them in Cleveland with Eye Alaska, Self Against City, and Valencia. This e.p(while a tad short) is fantastic. Keep at it, things have a way of working themselves out.

cambridge4301 11/27/12 10:42 PM

Dude threw up on my kitchen floor last year haha. Good songs though! *cheers*

Where was it? Also: I am sorry. Thanks for listening!

herestoyoufla 11/28/12 06:29 AM

This is excellent. Hope you write a full length soon Ben, you've got too much talent to quit writing music.

zacharydudeman 11/28/12 07:45 AM

Hey Ben! If you're reading this: I'd love to have you on my radio show! I play mostly pop-rock/alternative stuff and I'd love to have you on my show to discuss the new EP and fun random stuff like who are your influences. Since my show is broadcast in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I figure it would be too far for you to travel so would you be interested in doing a phone-in interview at some point?
