Kesha. The definition of a try hard.

This. Every single time I press play. |
She is really good looking
|
This plays fast and loose with the term "music."

Her set at Rock In Rio 2011 was just one of the worst performances I've ever seen by any "artist". Could hardly call that a show.

This is what I think of Kesha

Remember her bob dylan cover. That was good
|
Her talent at wearing glitter is un-touchable
|
way to illuminati for me
|
![]() Sorry everyone... |
I'm glad to see garbage like this gets posted as news here.
|
Digging the album quite a bit. It's no T Swift or Carly Rae, but needless to say, my party playlist has been updated accordingly.
|
Of course Joe posted this. Ugh.
|
Is it really that good like everyone says?

i'm pretty sure most of you hate on kesha just for the sake of hating her. i hate this electropop bullshit as much as the next person, but kesha rules. she gives no fucks and that's ok in my book |
I mean I love pop music but Kesha is terrible.

I am a Ke$ha fan I guess not really ashamed to admit it, but I will gladly admit that I can understand why people don't like her. It seems like her music is 50% catchy and fun pop music, and 50% annoying crap. I just like the good stuff and try to block out the rest.
|
Awwwwwwww yeeeeeeeaaaaaah!
|
this shit kills me
|
Id say minaj and kesha have pretty different rapping styles

She looks like the hot girl in a trailer park. |

I bet they do ;) |
I think this is my favorite straight up pop album this year.
|
surprised this is the first album ive heard of, that itunes streams, seems like something theyd do more often.
|
Played this morning. Had like four different songs from it in and out of my head all day.

No one is hailing this as AOTY or claiming it as a classic or potential classic. They are simply saying that they like it or that it isn't worthy of having a giant hate bandwagon following it. I myself only truly enjoy two or her songs and dislike or am indifferent towards all her others. With that being said, when people get so butthurt about music as utterly harmless as this, I find it not only A. annoying and quintessential special snowflake material but B. useless anger that can be channeled towards something that is far more despicable (or better yet instead of channeling hate towards something they can talk about something they enjoy for once). I get it. Just because she's self-aware doesn't negate the tackiness of her music however, the fact that so many people are riled up because members on this site enjoy harmlessly silly music such as this is kind of well... silly. |

Not angry. Never came off as angry. I also don't guilt trip people for listening to something. |

Youre right. Everyone should listen to exactly whatever kind of music they want to. Although, some people may be mad when they realize just how much money there is to make in the entertainment industry via tailored mass marketing and subculturing. If they percieve an artist to be insincere or untalented it may be frustrating to know that popular artists are rolling in the dough while more honest acts are barely scraping by. Think about how many songs in the last 1 to 2 years "reuse" elements from other songs. The point is maybe too much money is thrown at the next big pop stars and their labels, in a sense, enabling and resulting in a more homogenous and exclusive music industry. Thats not necessarily a good thing. |
I was really looking forward to this, especially after Die Young, but I was pretty disappointed with the album.
