PropertyOfZack recently sat down with Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. In the interview, Quinn revealed that the band will begin recording its new album in January with Cameron Mizell.

From The Interview

We’ve been writing on this tour. We have about nine songs completed. We’re going to take a few weeks to write in December. In January we’ll go into the studio to record our next full-length.

If the new music sounds anything like that demo that got leaked then I will be pumped

i'm bummed they're recording with Mizell again, i can't stand his production.

He also said they're trying to get Aaron Sprinkle involved. That would be awesome.

Yeah, and if he's doing production and post production it will just be another shitfest of a record.

Why do bands keep going back to Mizell ? Everything he touches sounds like shit. Except for that new Memphis May Fire record, that actually sounds decent production wise.

Yeah, but records he has done since that have also sounded like shit. The halloween song this band put out for example.

Not sure, but everything after that album all have had the same new guitar/bass/drum tones as that MMF album (that terrible new WIM record for example - a little dirtier but still the same presets roughly). From my perspective it's a slight improvement over what he was mixing for the stuff before - especially the drums.

i mean, the bands might like that sound, though. if you want a particular sort of production, he's one of the guys you go to. a lot of people might not like it, a lot of other people really do. if the guy gets another record to sound even better, why not take that shot of working with someone you know and getting a somewhat better sound?
