Even though this song gets covered by tons of people, I really dig their take on it. I'm also kinda jealous of Tegan's hair.

Oh god this is perfect. Every other cover I've heard loses the tension in the verses, they just uncomplicate it. Leave it to T&S to figure out how to make it perfect.
Edit: And that stripped down version of "Closer" just goes to show how stupid everyone who said "they sold out and wrote pop!" when they heard it. In that reading, it could easily be on So Jealous. |
