Yay Danny Brown!

sooperdoodey 12/16/12 08:09 PM

Here's a clearer video of the Odd Future ordeal.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RqKr-1GsJ0

It appears to be about 12 on 1.

Star Slight 12/16/12 08:14 PM

lol yeah let me run on stage at an OF concert and try to fight one of the members

Djentleman 12/16/12 08:25 PM

jumping on stage at a hip ho\rap show is way different than a rock show

Odd Future fans should know by now

Star Slight 12/16/12 08:30 PM

jumping on stage anywhere is fucking stupid and should get you punched in the side of the head

"Kendrick Lamar isn’t destined for any sort of mainstream success" - Grizzly, December 30, 2011

I don't mean to be a dick, I just saw this and thought it was great. Danny Brown news is too amazing and "Back 2 Ballin" is one of the catchiest tracks in the past few months.

The_Effort 12/16/12 09:16 PM

I've been to plenty of shows where people were encouraged to get on stage and stage dive or crowd the mic at a specific point or whatever. Not saying that kid was in the right. Just saying there most definitely is a time and place where it's encouraged and not worthy of a punch in the head.

WhoSaidThat? 12/16/12 09:36 PM

Need to give more love to new Game and Big Boi, only spun them a few times each. Not sure if I can say the latter is >>> Sir Lucious at this point like a lot of others have. As for Jesus Piece, having less songs may mean less filler (where R.E.D. had plenty), but it's also got less standout tracks, too. Still good overall.

Tip, on the other hand, put a product that's hardly any better than No Mercy, which is what I expected.

Funny that Kendrick cites LIG as his favorite for the year, since the love for that album seemed to diminish not too long before his album dropped.

Am I the only one who thought DMX singing Rudolph wasn't funny? /Scrooge

Hip hop shows? You normally don't do that there.

Schoolboy q had a show in Houston this past summer that had a lot of crowdsurfing, stage diving, and moshing.. I know you said it barely happens, but i see a rise in it. Odd Future is full of themselves with only having a few members with talents and the rest just taking up space everywhere they go.

dru 12/16/12 10:11 PM

new future tape. yes.

No I was speaking in reference to another comment that said it was stupid anywhere and should get you punched in the head. I agree that at most hip hop shows its probably uncalled for. Was just making a point that there definitely is a time and place where its appropriate.

feels bad (and i don't remember saying it, but it sounds like me), but i'm glad i was wrong. i still can't believe kendrick lamar is playing two sold out shows in my city in a couple of weeks and is getting played on the radio.

game is ok, big boi is fantastic - loving it. i like the production on it more than sir lucious, and the experimental/alternative aspect. we'll see in a year, cause i still play the shit out of SL.

and nas' LIG was in my top 3 albums in july, barely made my 10 in december, haha.

still need to listen to trouble man. i've been on a 'no fucks to give' front for him though.

good way to get smacked. not to mention, security is a little bulky at hip-hop shows.

you talking about the show at the warehouse live studio? that was wild. nice to see someone from houston on here! we should hang at a show!

airik625 12/17/12 05:24 AM

Still haven't listened to new Wiz yet. How is it?

Dustin Harkins 12/17/12 05:57 AM

Just want to say that despite my love for Pusha I hate "Blocka" and why is he doing this to me.

Holly HoX! 12/17/12 07:41 AM

No one should be talking about anything other than ODB

Danny Brown is the king

very very bad. worse than his debut. amber rose has a verse and that says it all.

To be fair, who WOULD have known Kendrick would've gotten as big as he has?

LIG is either gonna barely make or miss my Top 5, it seems. I think you'll like a handful of songs of TM:HitH. Namely the last two songs and some of the first ones. Nothing as awesome as (Andre's verse on) Sorry, though.

Archael 12/17/12 02:19 PM

Kendrick Lamar needs to break mainstream and make the radio enjoyable. honestly, he's so close and really deserves it.

"Odd Future has been accused of beating up a fan on stage."
why am I not surprised. still not sure how to feel about these guys.

"The Game is expected to sell 80k copies of Jesus Piece, while Big Boi will do 25-30k of Vicious Lies."
that's a shame because the number should really be reversed here.
