Good. One of my favorite heavy bands.

Local band! Went to high school with some of the members.

That's good to hear. Hopefully they go with a different producer this time around though. My favorite from them is still Constellations.

Yes Yes. Most memorable riffs on that album.

Leveler was an amazing album. I can't wait to see what they do with these new songs.

Agreed, that was my biggest complaint about Leveler. I can appreciate them trying to keep the really heavy parts consistently throughout their material, but it's just not what I want from them anymore. Too many breakdowns results in songs just seamlessly blending together, wheras the songs on Constellations all stand out individually.

Leveler > Constellations > Messengers > Thrill Seeker

This band just gets better and better. Their first two records don't compare to the last two.

If they mix the unstoppable momentum of Messengers and some of the variety of Leveler... we'll have ourselves a beast of an album.

Either way, I am anticipating the hell out of this.

Constellations and Leveler are two of my favorite albums ever, so if they keep progressing in the same direction, the new record should be amazing. I love what they've been able to do with that clean guitar sound thrown into the beginning or middle of an otherwise heavy song.

Hah, strange. I have a hard time listening to too many songs from Messengers in a row because I find them to be far too monotonous. To each their own, I suppose!

Wow, really? Besides Thrill Seeker, I thought Messengers was by far the most monotonous. I love 'em all, though. Constellations was my favorite, but I'd still love to see some more experimentation a la Leveler.

I think Messengers just has the perfect length. That may be why. And it could be one of those "Love what you heard first" moments.

I should have said it differently because I still ENJOY all of the albums.

hopefully it'll make up for their corny & pointless holiday album

Nah, I figured that. I love all their albums; I just think Constellations did more with their instruments, and Leveler switched up their standard style enough to make it even more interesting. Actually, I prefer Messengers to Leveler - but I still think its key weakness was monotony, whereas Leveler at point just didn't sound as good as it should have.
