No Sleep Releases Test Presses and Rarities on eBay

No Sleep Records is auctioning off a plethora of test presses and rare LPs on the label’s eBay site. Fans are invited to bid over the next seven days for a chance to get their hands on extremely coveted test presses from the likes of Touché Amoré, Balance and Composure, The Wonder Years, La Dispute, and more. You can bid here.

Meh. I can't afford any of these. Oh well...

Someone's about to make a lot of money.

ghelms88 12/20/12 01:16 PM

I don't even want to look at those prices...

The La Dispute records always go for crazy amounts. TWY is going pretty well too. Wonder if it'll go higher than what I paid...

I wanted the Departures record. Will probably outbid everyone at the last minute.

I really hope they're donating the money from these auctions to sandy or connecticut. If they have any sense of morality, they won't profit off this...

InExile 12/20/12 04:07 PM

A business making a profit is a bad thing? Are you a fucking communist?

I wouldn't doubt they're keeping it, sadly. You can only hope that it's to make their label better and not for personal play-money or something like that. Don't they have these from time to time anyway? I think they've auctioned somewhat rare stuff before.

I hate when this comes up. Yes, it'd be nice if they donated but if they don't its not immoral in any way. No body is ever obligated to help others out, and unfortunately the world has to keep moving.

So many test presses, so little money to buy them with haha.

I'm always interested to see peoples' thoughts on when labels auction stuff off. I think there are points to be made on both sides. I think it's silly how much they go for though.

i'm jealous of anyone with that kind of disposable income. outbid, outbid and.... outbid.
