Download Kevin Devine's Marathon 38-Song NYC Show For Free

Kevin Devine's performance from Dec. 1 at Webster Hall was professionally recorded and is now available as a free download from NYC Taper. The 38-song, nearly three-hour performance spanned KevDev's full discography. Check out some more information about the show below, and if you head to the replies you can see the full setlist and stream three songs from the recording to get a taste of what it sounds like.
From the ArticleHe performed his first album Circle Gets The Square as a solo acoustic set, and mixed in one new Sandy-inspired song. The final two sets and the encores were played with two different version of the band, as set two consisted of the latest album Between the Concrete and Clouds with a stripped down God Damn Band, and the final set of Split the Country, Split the Street (and encores) with a full version of the band. This was an ambitious undertaking, but in the end it proved that Kevin and the God Damn Band were up to the task.

This is super cool. I'm a little disappointed that he only did one song each from my favorite album's of his (Make The Clocks Move, Put Your Ghost To Rest), but I'll get over it.

TheDemosRock 12/21/12 09:15 AM

I would have preferred Put Your Ghost To Rest instead of Circle, but it made sense to do his early and least-played material at an ann'y show...

And either way the whole thing was just a fucking phenominal experience.

Beautiful fucking show to be at, and listening to it over again makes it that much better.

I thought the same thing at first, but quickly got over the fact that it was Circle instead of a different album. I couldn't believe how quiet the room was during that album. It was pretty mesmerizing.
