in b4 "their old stuff is better" because it's clearly not. CYB and SS were good if you were 15 and wore eyeliner

atrio 01/04/13 08:49 AM

I've never really been a big fan of this band but after their last record and now this song, I like what I've been hearing.

circletheworld 01/04/13 08:49 AM

sounded like underoath at first... i wish it was a higher quality rip

instantstop 01/04/13 08:50 AM

YES! FINALLY!

werealldudes19 01/04/13 08:53 AM

this just gets me more excited.
This band has improved so much it's amazing

reachforthesun 01/04/13 08:54 AM

awesome!

cjpeck93 01/04/13 08:55 AM

So Emmure at one point. But so good nonetheless.

Mattylikesfilms 01/04/13 08:57 AM

Solid track but the teaser on the bands site made this song sound a lot bigger in build up.

Awesome track none the less.

InaGreendase 01/04/13 08:57 AM

Need to fix the post. I think you guys embedded some Underoath B-side by accident.

Same. The "This Is Sempiternal" part rips hard.

Except for the part where Underoath don't downtune their guitars that far

incognitojones 01/04/13 09:00 AM

This is pretty good, they really improved their song-writing. Sounds a lot more put together but still goes hard, I dig it.

theintention 01/04/13 09:01 AM

I love the chants in the chorus. The breakdowns aren't br00tal, and are well thought out.... this album is gonna be killer.

wtf does sempiternal mean though?

I'm sure that was the intro to the album, with this song being track 2. Or it's trimmed to showcase the song rather than the beginning of the album.

I'm hoping this single version is just a shortened version of the album one, which I hope includes the long intro.

Jake Jenkins 01/04/13 09:06 AM

this sucks

B.Leibo 01/04/13 09:06 AM

This is actaully a huge step up - I'm impressed.

sempiternal means like classic as in timeless.

NoRefuge 01/04/13 09:09 AM

Ehh, could have picked a better quality rip, but the song absolutely kills, the album's just jumped up my most anticipated list for 2013

feel the exact same way

NewAgeofHorus 01/04/13 09:17 AM

Sounds pretty good. On par with their last release

Listen to In Division and A Divine Eradiction. This really does sound a lot like Underoath but it's not a bad thing.

MrDelux 01/04/13 09:27 AM

THIS... IS..... SUPERTURTLE

garufff 01/04/13 09:28 AM

never really been a fan of this band, always kept an eye on what they're doing, & they definitely have helped out a load of other decent UK metal/hardcore bands out but this to me sounds like nu-metal. fucking terrible.

I actually think Count Your Blessings was their best album, though I never wore eyeliner. And no matter how many chances I tried to give There is a Blah Blah Blah, I think it's absolutely awful. As far as this song goes, other than the chorus, I'm not sure how you can say this doesn't sound like almost exactly like Suicide Season.

Smeee 01/04/13 09:30 AM

Ehh... Sounds like Underoath but worse. The breakdowns are dull. I guess the chorus is decent.

Merkky 01/04/13 09:31 AM

I sat through two hours of the radiochannel just waiting for this, and it was worth it. Really hope they keep the long intro for the album though, the build up would be of epic proportions!

SpyKi 01/04/13 09:40 AM

much better than their old stuff at least.

ylightflight 01/04/13 09:41 AM

the song is pretty good but not mindblowing. nothing like the feeling when it never ends came out

Grohl 01/04/13 09:42 AM

I remember hating this band in high school for sounding like every other scene-core band. And then There Is A Hell happened.

These guys have come such a long way in their sonics.

Really digging this, band just gets better and better.

Yeah I hope so, the teaser just made it sound much bigger and the build up to that riff got me fucking stoked!

The vocals and composition are just more developed and thought out in this one than in SS. (Just my two cents)

I loved CYB and SS, but There is a Hell... was amazing. Liking this track so far, hope the album lives up to it

I agree. It definitely needs to have the extended intro.

You're welcome :)

Capulet 01/04/13 09:54 AM

THIS IS AWSOME

PetitnaindesĪles 01/04/13 09:55 AM

i don't get the Underoath comparison at all. it sounds ok, i wish they were actually playing a good riff instead of the repetitive chugchug though

dtomczak 01/04/13 09:57 AM

vocals sound so much better. cool song.

rocknroll365 01/04/13 09:57 AM

really love the way that chorus hits. pretty good song. i was way more stoked when it never ends came out but a quality tune none the less.

AGREED. these guys used to shred like crazy. it would be nice to see a solo or something in the future.

Sempiternal means everlasting/eternal.

Songs pretty good enjoying it quite a bit.

DeviateRogue 01/04/13 10:02 AM

Pretty damn good, definitely one of my most anticipated releases.

It's only one song off the album, who knows what the rest entails.
