New song sounds pretty good. I'm excited to hear how (if) they've progressed any on this record. I do like the somewhat more raw vocals on the new song.

Surprisingly, the new song has me pretty excited. And I agree, the raw vocals definitely are a HUGE improvement.

But...they still need to lose the canned screams from their keyboardist. It just sounds too forced; if they're going to have screaming, use the lead singer. The guy has a voice so similar in style to Cody Bonnette from ACB that he could pull it off, easily.

I'm sure it will be great. Their debut was above par and all of the Tigers on Trains material I have heard have been really good.

gman610 01/06/13 04:41 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about those screams. I was disappointed to see those come back. They just don't fit in the sound, and I really hope they're not very prevalent on the other stuff.

I loved Tigers on the Train's Foundry and liked American Gospel, and I hope some of that stuff influenced the new record. Also excited to hear The Year Fifteen's new stuff too and whatever it is that Ace Enders was involved with with both bands.

Love the progression of the song.

Didn't blow me away or anything, but it was still a solid enough track. I am still super excited for this record.

They told me the record is going to be heavier.

Didn't specify, Bill just said that they have all been doing their softer side projects so they were going to be heavier with the Wolves.
