Of Machines Teasing Something?

Of Machines posted "If we recorded a new ep... Who would want it?" to their Facebook.

MXP 01/09/13 04:51 PM

I'd want it

DemBitties 01/09/13 04:52 PM

Weren't the remaining members of Of Machines, minus Austin going to start some super ambient project?

leftapart 01/09/13 04:54 PM

tease tease tease

colean 01/09/13 04:57 PM

Just a part of Of Machines, is a good part of something, itd be great if thats for real!

JimmyAveningo 01/09/13 05:09 PM

god I want that Ambient Colours album

Scrawns 01/09/13 05:21 PM

If it doesnt have that Dylan guy in it then im not interested. That dude has some freakin pipes man.

Richard Maxim 01/09/13 05:38 PM

As If Everything Was Held In Place is still played semi often for me, That record really kinda encompasses a certain time in their particular scene. Also, Dylan is one passionate bastard.

killbrand.com 01/09/13 05:40 PM

Too weird, I was just listening to their album today after the longest time..

NateFoundGlory 01/09/13 05:44 PM

Please and thank you, holy fuck.

Quijiba 01/09/13 05:45 PM

Same. I happened to stumble upon it during my shuffle and have been rocking it all week.

Word on the street is that the dude started doing a bunch of drugs and can't hit notes for shit anymore.

I think so..I think they where suppose to just take what is Of machines and change the sound. That was the main reason Austin acted like a punk bitch and left the band.

The word on the street is wrong. He has been off doing hipster music and he can still bang those high notes like a damn boss.

Dylan's highs are strained way too much. He does best with his lows.

I will lobby for this day and night if that's what it takes. Review? You got it. News posts? You got it. Interview, even? You got it.

They couldn't agree on where they were going to go with the sound for the next album. Austin wanted to go heavier, basically what Woe Is Me is now I'd assume, and the other dudes wanted to go in a completely new experimental/ambient/pop direction. The relationship dynamic changed, and the guys and Austin stopped getting along. Apparently he was getting harder and harder to get along with and placed promiscuous sexual endeavors at shows above doing band things.

They seemed to start to get their shit together once they had the guy who would later drum for Decoder, he seemed like a solid dude. It's a shame they called it quits but it was a really taxing lifestyle. It would have been interesting to see what they would have done without Rise's constant mistreatment of them., with such a strong frontman you would have think they would have got some better attention from them, and hopefully at least some money.

blackmold 01/09/13 07:49 PM

I always find it strange how loved this band and it's one album were...

Skinny blaque 01/09/13 07:52 PM

TAKE MY MOney now

danperez 01/09/13 08:20 PM

The band that sounds like they have 2 lead guitars? Hells yeah! And I dont care if Dylans vocals are strained, it's rock n roll after all. It all comes down to hitting the notes at live shows, and that, he can. Now, if its without Austin, thats a shame. I really like his style.

more heart 01/09/13 08:25 PM

Loved them back in the day, but this seems like a few years too late for me to care.

MJSchmidt 01/09/13 08:30 PM

One of the last albums of this style I really dug. It seemed like shortly after, this style went more into the chug and crab stuff. The Circa, Saosin, and Underoath influences were such a welcome sound for me. Will always have a special place for their album.

sergioisevil 01/09/13 09:01 PM

One of the few "Risecore" bands I legitimately loved.

i would hope to think he's good w/ the other dudes

i don't know anything about their backstory, line-up wise

PerfectChaos337 01/09/13 10:22 PM

OM was pretty great. They were somewhat decent live and one of the only "risecore" bands I could actually enjoy. I'd be into hearing some new stuff.

Native Suns... And it sucks shit.

MikeyAndTheCity 01/09/13 11:16 PM

I would be excited to hear a new EP. I've been excited for Native Suns as well, and their debut should be coming out this year. Hope something materializes from this!

SmileWithASmirk 01/09/13 11:57 PM

Soft powers.

A couple years ago... Maybe I'll give it another go.

Ohaidere 01/10/13 09:21 AM

I would love for this to happen. An EP will be fine with me. I'd prefer a full length but I'll take what I can get at this point!

I had surgery and I've been recovering, and trying to find a job when you're disabled in this economy is not a pleasant task.
