Rise Records has become a joke.

So according to that blog they have only been a "band" for 5 days. What is this label thinking?

That an old vocalist will produce a decent band.

I'd assume this guy has ties to the label, because his project sucks. I like AA! though.

They've always been a joke, except for when they had Fear Before and Small Towns back in the day.

And what is with bands blatantly stealing names from books, movies, etc?

YoTengoRabbi 02/05/09 08:18 AM

Did this guy get kicked out of AA! for being a shitty person?
Why would Rise Records pick up his new band after being together for a few days?

Generic music is generic.

possibly, since he was already signed to rise, there was a contractual obligation if he decided to start another band? just a thought. look at some other bands/projects that have done the same thing.

that was I was thinking....

Heart-A-Tact 02/05/09 08:23 AM

More shitty music? Thrilling.

Of Machiness 02/05/09 08:24 AM

For all who might not be aware of this... When you sign a record deal a lot goes into the contract. Most times in a contract there are stipulations where due to contact Rise gets first dibs on the previous artists new band. I, for one, am quite happy. Austin is a VERY talented person and a great friend of mine. I can't wait to see where this goes for him!
