I forgot that tickets could be so high. Years of seeing indie bands on small labels have ruined it for me I guess. I can't remember the time I paid more than $25 to see a show. Heck, I can't...

Interesting. I really like both of their albums, but it doesn't remind me of anything that would hit number 1. Still, good for them.

Bravo. Always a good thing to hear a band that writes all of their own music. In the meantime, I love the new single, and looking forward to the release. The last album was good, and this one...

After listening to the Bad Christian podcast, it seems like there may be some deeper issues with their split with Mars Hill. They never mention Mars Hill by name (only saying stuff like "The Church...

Both of you have a valid point. Driscoll isn't a pastor I'd like to be preached to by. And most of the people who I know that like him really don't know that much about him. Most of what I've seen...

They left Mars Hills back in March. No longer have anything to do with them. I read an interview where they discussed it. Kings Kaleidoscope was transitioned off of the worship list by Mars Hill...

Normally, I really can't stand worship music. This now. This is good.

Not quite the top two longest, but still a very valid point. Act of Depression is unquestionably their longest at 55:55. Define the Great Line edges out Cries of the Past for the number 2 slot at...

I remember going to high school with these guys and seeing them play our talent show. Not even sure if they were called Akissforjersey or not then, but it was a sick set. Or rather, song. It was a...

Exactly. The song is about encouraging people to be original. Not following trends and what not. Hence the title "Cover Girl". As a band, they've definitely got some originality too them, but...

Never got into the last album. The two before it (and even the EPs, way back when) were great. Here's hoping they're contract just expired, and not something worse.

That's a pretty lame defense. I feel like he's trying to get his sentence reduced now, rather than trying to fight it off.

Man, Ethan leaves, then we finally get new music. Good song, but man, Matt's voice sounds different.

I really feel like you can tell which songs he had less input on. Dementia was great (seems to be the consensus around here), but so many other songs feel like the label forced a certain style on...

He actually did a little big of screaming on one of his old old EPs under the name Aquariums.

Man, not really digging this at all. Dementia was amazing, but that's about it off this new album. The lyrics are really turning me off. Not anything like his past stuff. I was afraid when he...

I'm gonna try to catch them at Wilmington, since I missed them last time they came through.

Well, I'm excited. I'm hoping they'll play some more shows. Wilmington has been weird lately with no HiL shows.

Never used ticket master, for this exact reason. I always buy straight from the venue if its close enough.

There's a terrible local band called Deadbolt that opens for a few bands around here. I avoid them like the plague. Roughly 16 year old kids attempting to sing (and failing at it), the same guitar...

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster was great. Dallas was all in the crowd, and eventually straight took an extra mic and dropped it into the crowd.

Bingo. I've done various mission works through the past five years, and its done out of service. If someone converts, that's great. But we don't necessarily expect it to happen. The idea is to go...

I would agree. The pianist in me is kinda diggin' some of the off-kilter progressions. Definitely potential there, but I can't say I'd buy their album at this point.
