As being an African American, MLK made it easier for me growing up and being accepted. I thank him for using civil disobedience and just his words to get his points across to the masses. Plus making it more acceptable for me to walk hand in hand with my boyfriend who is of another race.
He paved the way for tolerance.
Thanks Martin.
This quote goes a long way in explaining why I can't vote for any politician Democrat or Republican that is against gay marriage. Our Grandchildren will be disgusted with us that we would choose the lesser of two evils in that case, just like we're appallled at Grandparents now that would've voted from people like Strom Thurmond.
