I always thought it was weird that New brunswick never flourished with a "medium level" music scene. the place is rocking with basement shows, and TONS of music history, but I think it could work as a place with a solid NJ Meidum level venue.
my friends played here, small place with a lot of NJ history.
is it bad id be interested in trying to get loans to buy it (without the liquor license) nd re-open it.
Good luck! I'll back you 100%. I've only been there a few times but for a place that was the home court for Gaslight and was played numerous times by Jon Bon Jovi..I'm totally down for the Court to re-open!
Always had fun playing there. The people who ran the shows were just about always assholes & ass clowns (well, really just the sound guy's were douches). However, we always had a good time in the end.
RIP...or best of wishes to whoever attempts to save it.
