Did you guys miss the point of the article...the 'crowd-sourcing legislation' thing, perhaps?

I mean, I know it's crowd-sourcing, but...
what would be the point of even trying to get this across when most of the crowd wants to keep the internet as it is? (which they don't like.)

Because things are going to change? So you might as well try to have input on it?

It doesn't matter what we like, people have been 'stealing' off the internet for so long that these corporations are not going to stop until something changes - so, basically, you can be involved in it with legislation that's crowd-sourced, or you can have no involvement whatsoever, and get SOPA/PIPA.

I wouldn't bitch about OPEN when you think of the alternatives.

I guess you're pretty right. This bill is pretty divine in comparison to SOPA/PIPA.
